I had a stamped concrete job consisting of a front walkway and backyard patio. The job took a month and after patiently waiting the chose the only day of the week with 100% chance of rain. At least the front walkway looks good. But the large patio in the back looks terrible and horrific. With stamped concrete you cannot fix your mistakes. There are photos on google reviews I put on today. It should be a chestnut color but 80% of it just looks like grey concrete with chestnut around some of the edges of the patio. Now I am going to have to spend thousands to tile over the poor quality of work. It just makes me want to scream. I chose the higher bidder. I thought they did quality work and boy was I wrong. Buyer Beware. There were many other mistakes. Too many to list here like a footprint in the concrete. Yes the repair about half the print but have is still there. If you see the photos you will be shocked. Absolute proof of poor quality work.

Everyone we dealt with at this company was SUPER....courteous, knowledgeable, & communication was easy. We have received many compliments on our patio cover & I would not hesitate to recommend The Deck & Patio Company to anyone. They do quality work.

Overall, we are very pleased with our new deck from The Deck and Patio Company. The crew was very professional, polite, and friendly. Each day they spent the time to clean up the project site and were always willing to answer any questions we may have had. The quality of the wood, carpentry, and staining was excellent. The only drawback was the length of time (13 weeks) between contract execution and start of the work

Started out ok… once the workers started it seemed to go well…after the first rain everything went downhill …..LITERALLY! Patio was supposed to angle to the back yard for drainage. When it rains my back porch (which is connected to the patio) floods. I bought tiles for the back porch hoping it might help but the rain water keeps flooding the back porch! Not happy!!

We just had our new Moisture Shield composite deck installed by The Deck & Patio Company and couldn’t be more pleased! From start to finish, this company is five star. From working with the Sales Rep, Tom, to the Project Manager, Martin, the owner, Jed and installers Jimmy and Pedro, these guys are all perfectionists and know what they’re doing. They tore out our existing deck that was only 7 years old, already rotting and a liability to walk on. They had to start from scratch to rebuild our 455 sq. ft. deck. The installers cleaned up every day before they left and never left anything laying around the yard. They worked hard every day for 14 days and worked in everything from 83 degree weather to temps in the low 40’s (this is Texas, after all 😊). These gentlemen cared about their work and it showed in their craftmanship and attention to detail. We highly recommend The Deck & Patio Company for your outdoor needs. They are a well-oiled machine and the entire process was smooth and painless. We would hire them again for future projects.

We had five quotes before deciding to go with "The Deck & Patio Company" and we are more than satisfied with our decision. This is a company that value both their customers and perfection. The entire experience from the beginning to the end has been nothing less than positive. As a company representative, Tom wasn't pushy at all. Rather, he was very knowledge and helpful with understanding of the scope of the project and presenting all options for how to make it better. He was very patient as well. We had to wait for our turn to build the deck (they were pretty booked), but the rest was a breeze. The building team was very professional, respectful, and punctual. Craftsman is excellent and the result exceeded our expectations. All Martin's suggestions were to the point and helped tremendously to make right decisions. He also did meticulous quality control at each step of the project. Trust me, no sloppiness is allowed by this company. Finally, the price was pretty reasonable compared to the high quality of the outcome. We consider it money well spend, and we are looking forward to keeping the relationships with this company for years in terms of our beautiful deck maintenance and possible future projects.

Tom Ruddell was terrific - knowledgeable, professional, he really knew his stuff. We interviewed 3 different companies and we knew right away this was the one. He was responsive and detail-oriented throughout the process, which took about 3 weeks from plan to polish. I am a real estate agent and am adding him and this company to my trusted vendor list and will be recommending them to anyone who needs some home improvement done!

Came out and took a look at things, said they would get back with a quote and never heard from them again

The Deck & Patio Co was great from start to finish. I worked with Tom on the initial estimate, Martin on the actual work to be done and Jed Mowell, the owner, who came out twice to make sure all work was completed timely and to my satisfaction. Jed even sent me a fruit basket the day after I had some surgery during the project. I can't say enough positive things about their timeliness, the work product they produced and the communication during the entire project. Would strongly recommend them for any patio roof installations/repairs.

After 2 weeks I contacted them. The gentleman I talked with apologized that they did not call me back. They were not doing repairs. He did apologize at least. Very disappointed - wanted to be sure Angie's List was aware of the lack of service.

The quality of the work was fantastic. The job required diverse skillsets, and materials but the talent and knowledge existed within the crew, and the work exceeded expectations. At the end, when the money was spent, and I saw what I got, I was pleased. I advise being an active participant in the bidding process and ask questions. The project manager was very receptive to candid conversations around cost and managing expense. To a degree, this job had some ambiguous elements that we could have been tightened up which could have helped managed project expenses and customer expectations. There were multiple walk throughs during the project execution to make sure my expectations and concerns were being address. There is a strong desire to deliver a customer focused service with quality as the ultimate product. This is represented at the highest level of the organization directly to each crew member. So happy!

Excellent work again by The Deck and Patio Co. This is the second job they have done for us. The first was a complete deck replacement, along with tile work, and pool travertine repair. Every aspect of that job was exceptional! The job that was just completed, installing flagstone, was once again done with the same excellence. The flagstone looks great and the attention to detail exceeded our expectations. Thanks to Martin and Jed who make this a great customer experience.

TDAPC kept to the timeline that we agreed upon. The workers were all Top Notch!!! Excellent at their respective crafts.

While we ended up selecting another company for our patio work, I was thoroughly impressed with Tom from Deck & Patio Company. He was extremely polite, the information he gave us was fantastic, and I will definitely be reaching out to him if we choose any projects in the future.

My thanks to Tom, Jed and Martin for their professionalism and a fantastic job. Tom made several visits to work out the details of the patio design, quotes were detailed and easy to understand exactly what was being quoted. Jed worked around my travel schedule so I could be home when the work was being done. Martin and the crew were prompt, and they spent much time before starting going through the plan and working out some of the finer details that you don't find until they actually start the work. There were absolutely no surprises along the way, and I couldn't be happier with my new patio. Great work by everyone. Would definitely hire again.

I hired Sullivent Services back in 2014 and 2017. 2 phases. The first was to expand the concrete patio in my backyard. That went well. I hired them back in 2017 to deck the patio and that also went very well. These guys know what they are doing and they do a good job.

Fantastic!! This project was the best experience we have ever had with a contractor. Martin and Jedd were both so nice to work with. They worked diligently to insure the project was completed with a high standard of quality and excellence. They are super. They're perfectionists. They're very critical of their own work. They want it done right. They have project managers that come out periodically and check out the progress. They give you upfront quotes, a contract with a complete description of what all their services are going to entail. There's no question on what's going to be done. This is my third time hiring them.

Quality of the work was excellent, and I have been loving the patio. Took longer than expected to complete due to weather. The company was extremely responsive to my calls and took quick care of the minor issues that occur during all such projects.

I met with Tom, told him what I wanted, and he drew up the project for me to review. I loved what he and the team produced. Exceptional workmanship, within quoted price even though had to reseal because of inclement weather., professional management. Very good " after project" warranty and 1 year free cleaning service included. The company resealed the flagstone because of inclement weather before it was cured. No questions asked. Just did it even though no fault of their own. This is the proof of a first rate contractor. Contractor delivered stone to my house from a third party after I had selected it. Ran a little short and got more and no additional cost to me. Cleaned the stone before selecting which pieces to put in place. Did a great job of selecting stones from three different stone pallets. Various colors and textures of the stones are remarkable as is the artistic layout..

The company sent a person on site to take a look. He did a great job, measuring carefully, explain how they will do it. I have a AV unit that was covered around by deck. He suggested to let an open area make good ventilation and easy to access to AC maintenance. I did not hire this company for the budget by my personal reason.

The Deck and Patio Company went above and beyond all of our expectations. From the start of the project, Tom helped make the process so easy for us. He made several trips out to our home to walk us through our options, and he even provided us with a mock up of our exact deck at no extra charge. Once we settled on a design, Martin and Jed came out to make sure everything was perfect before construction began. The craftsmanship displayed by Jaime and his crew was second to none. These guys were working hard from dusk til dawn and finished our deck in just 4 days! Martin was in constant contact with us making sure we were updated on the progress, and more importantly he would make a point to make trips on site to guarantee everything was going smoothly. You can tell that a lot of time, energy, and care goes into their work, and it shows through the beautiful finished product. We have already received so many compliments on our new deck, and we would recommend TDAPC to anyone wanting a beautiful outdoor space for anytime of the year!

Tom, Martin, Jedd, and crew were very professional, courteous, and punctual on this project for my wife and I. We reached out to TDAPC to design and build a patio cover for my existing slab in my backyard with very little idea of what I actually wanted. Tom put together several detailed 3-D models based on my house for different style, sizes, and price points to help us decide. The quality of the final product is exactly what was designed. We are very satisfied with the level of quality we received.

The Deck and Patio Company built us a wonderful outdoor space. Our project was precipitated by the rotting out of a critical beam in our upstairs master bedroom balcony. Martin Sullivent worked with us to not only replace the failed balcony, but to redesign it to incorporate an adjacent pergola, complete with fireplace, stone planters, sidewalk, and pony wall. In working with him over the ensuing months, we became impressed by his attention to detail and his concern for quality of craftsmanship. Our patio faces a slope down to a lake shore, and Martin's team poured a structural foundation for our patio to guarantee against erosion and sinking. The beams of the pergola are solid and sturdy, lending not only an attractive appearance, but also strength and durability. His team carefully designed placement of our fireplace in the corner of our patio to enhance and complement the view of the lake. During the design phase of the project, Martin encountered constraints resulting from the existing structure. For example, the rise between our existing patio and the patio door jamb was insufficient to allow for pavers. Martin worked with us to present alternatives that would meet our objectives, such as leaving the surface as brushed concrete, staining the concrete, or doing a stamped concrete overlay; we opted for the latter. In each case, Martin was careful to share with us the pros and cons of the various solutions. Every time we have a party, it's a BLAST! (we do it often) and we love having people over because they all enjoy it as much as we do. We strongly recommend the Deck and Patio Company to people looking to invest in a quality project to enhance their outdoor living experience.
