Installed 2 new hot water heaters in the garage and the pipes were reconfigured tfrom the attic o go to those hot water heaters. One of the old hot water heaters was left in the attic because we were told it would be too costly to remove from the attic and leaving it would not be a problem. When the job was finished Mr. Brown came and personally inspected the job. We did not take bids on the job. We used Robert Brown Plumbing because he was a friend of my son's. Therefore, I do not know if the price was out of line or not. I have since been told by someone that took bids on their project that they did not use Robert Brown Plumbing because his bid was too high. We are retired folks on a fixed income and IF the need for extensive plumbing happens again I probably would take bids. If I was independently wealthy and money was not an issue I'd for sure call Robert Brown Plumbing. You know the old saying, "You get what you pay for." That certainly may be the case here. We had a new water heater put in several months earlier and the plumber showed us the horizontal pipes were almost completely closed. Since then our water pressure had dropped to almost nothing. We got estimates from a number of plumbers and John's was near the lower end. He sent his estimate for the work right away and was able to start relatively quickly. John's group tore out the old horizontal pipes and put in the new copper pipes in one day. He also brought the water heater up to code and made sure everything was working correctly. He tested the sinks and the showers. The pressure improved somewhat but not significantly so he went through and checked everything again. He could hear water rushing from the pipe leading out of the house and since we had a new buffalo box put in the city was called out to check to see if there was a leak. To make a long story short the leak was found to be right outside the house and not at the buffalo box. John gave us the name of a group (Kerr Mechanical) that would locate the leak and add new copper pipes from the house to the city water supply. Once the leak was taken care of the water pressure was fantastic. Both John Baethke and Kerr Mechanical did an outstanding job and I would hire them both again if needed."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/il/chicago/john-baethke-and-son-plumbing-reviews-99445.htm"},"position":6},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Exxon - Shreveport","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Jim S."},"reviewBody":"The service manager has taken care of me in multiple occasions. There was absolutley no water damage issues at that point, just the fact that we were no longer getting hot water. The gentleman re-connected it to the wrong pipe and resulted in water pouring out of ceiling in various sections of the house. The gentleman apologized profusley when he realized his error. I ended up with water damage in 5 rooms.
When I called Bobby L. Green's office, not only was the office person extremely rude, but she said (and I quote) "this is a gray area. the pumber did not know it was a dead pipe.". They offered NOTHING. And they still billed me for the plumber services, at $150 an hour dut to it being a weekend. Plus I ended up with a $3000 cost to me to repair the water damage THEY created.
I understand that accidents/mistakes happen. However, the manner in which they chose to handle says alot about company. Zero customer service. Zero pride in thier work. And no ownership of their employee's mistakes. I would never recommend them."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/la/shreveport/bobby-l-greene-plumbing-and-heating-co-inc-reviews-6275672.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Apex Painting & Remodeling","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"John K."},"reviewBody":"Overall it did not go well. Nick was several hours late because of an emergency hot water heater replacement for another client and he didn't find time to let me know. The wood he selected was not the same as the ash in the existing book cases, but not too bad a match. He bought and charged me for almost double the material needed, but did give me the receipts so I could return the excess. One piece of material was too short and he had to make another trip to get the proper length. He cut that piece too short and had to make another trip to replace it. Although I asked for a mitered cut at the corners, he made a square cut. He did stain the wood, but I had to do the finishing. His labor bill matched his estimate except for an extra $20 to drill a hole in each book case to accommodate power cords. I have asked another company to do the project over and Nick's work is going on my burn pile."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/la/bossier-city/apex-painting-and-remodeling-reviews-6249693.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"TLC Plumbing Heating Cooling Electrical","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"DONNA S."},"reviewBody":"The technician quickly located a leaky value in our radiant heating system. They installed a hot water heater that went out within 6 weeks. The plumber said it was their fault because it was not flushed and installed properly but still charged me for repairs because it had been more than 30 days.

Heating Oil questions, answered by experts
An evaporator or swamp cooler is a common alternative for small spaces. These coolers blow moist air into a space to help cool it down. They are more affordable than misters and use much less water. However, coolers will not have the same cooling effect as misters, cannot help plants survive the heat, and only reach a small area.
Leaks, poor airflow, reduced efficiency, and loop blockages are common problems requiring service.
A geothermal heat pump system will take about 10 years to pay for itself, and it has a life span of anywhere from about 25 to 50 years. Installing a geothermal heat pump will cost about $14,250 upfront, but it can reduce your energy bills by around 65% when compared to a conventional HVAC system.
Your HVAC manufacturer will give you instructions on how often you should service your system. Have your unit professionally serviced at least once a year when in doubt.
Heat pump systems are different because they provide heating and cooling solutions for your home. In this case, you should have it serviced at least twice a year.
HVAC systems usually last between 10 and 30 years, with most having a lifespan of around 20 years. Factors that impact a unit’s life expectancy include which brand you choose, how often you use it, and how well you maintain it. To make sure yours lasts as long as possible, make sure to keep it clean and schedule an annual service with an HVAC technician.
