Two person team, one plumber and one laborer, showed up an hour late. Immediately stated installation would cost an additional $100 because a "duct" was in the way. The duct was 5 feet above the floor and 2 feet away from the hot water heater, posing no issue for installation. Rather than the typical pull down stairs and dealing with rafters and insulation, this hot water heater was located in a closet area on the second floor. This was much easier than a typical attic installation. We refused to pay extra. Home Depot backed us up. They replaced the hot water heater in 70 minutes. We paid $400, and they wanted $500. The extra $100 was insult to injury. Standard plumbing rate in this area is $80 per hour and $30 per hour for a laborer. They tried to take advantage of my wife, she called me, and I will never do business with them or recommend them to others. THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY!
