"Pristine does excellent work. The quality was fantastic and we have used them twice now for both carpet cleaning and tile cleaning. Both times it did take Jeff a few days to return my call or confirm our appt, but that had no effect on us really and wasn't a major issue. We will always use Pristine for our future cleaning needs. We are highly satisfied.

"Great! They came out so clean and beautiful. I will definitely use them again. There were some spots where grandkids had gotten some grass stains, and they got them all completely out! My carpet looks brand new. They were on time, got it done quick and even called when they were on the way. They even asked how I liked it before they left. Very professional and very friendly!"

"They repaired a seam in the hallway, scrubbed the livingroom and left a beautiful pattern that the new renters loved when we signed the lease. Carpet looked like new when they were done.

Carpet Cleaning FAQs, answered by experts

Yes, laundry detergent can both stain and potentially damage a carpet. If spilled, especially if it's a brightly colored liquid, it can leave a vibrant stain. While a single small spill is unlikely to ruin the carpet, regular exposure is not recommended. Over time, laundry detergent can leave a residue, negatively affect the carpet's appearance, and even break down its fibers.

No, you won’t be able to deep clean a couch without an upholstery cleaning machine, although it’s certainly possible to keep up with everyday furniture cleaning. The water extraction process is what allows the fibers of the upholstery to be thoroughly cleaned, which is something you can’t achieve by surface cleaning alone. If you don’t have a machine, you may find that professional upholstery cleaning is worth the cost.

Depending on your type of carpet, a wet/dry vacuum is a great final step to removing blood stains, but it will only help after you’ve used another method to pull out the bulk of the stain. A good option is to use a wet cleaning method, then apply baking soda to the stain, and then follow that by vacuuming thoroughly. Remember that this vacuum type does not work on all carpet types. Wool can shrink with this method, so always check the cleaning instructions from your carpet’s manufacturer.

The fastest way to soak up water in carpet is to use a wet/dry shop vac to draw out as much water as possible. Afterward, apply firm pressure to towels to sop up any remaining moisture, then liberally sprinkle baking soda over the carpet and let it sit for at least an hour before vacuuming it up. You can speed up the process by opening windows, using blower fans to create airflow, and running a dehumidifier.

No, there’s no limit on how much you can tip your carpet cleaning pro. If you couldn’t prepare for your carpet cleaner beforehand, you might feel inclined to give them a large tip for their troubles. However, there's no pressure to tip that much, and most homeowners typically tip 10% to 20% of the total bill.
