"They were wonderful. They cleaned my whole home thoroughly after the mess of moving in. My grandchildren had the play room a mess. It looks great. I had a new rug rolled up that I didn't want to put down till the floor was clean. They put it down which was so much more than I expected. I plan to have them come on a regular basis and scheduled my next cleaning. I'm so glad I found them."

Small jobs welcome

"I hired The Wash Wizard to pressure clean my driveway for $100. He was reliable, on time, and very nice. For no extra charge he also did my garage door, paved pathway, and my front entrance floor tile which was full of bird poop. I thought it was a very kind gesture that he took the time to clean it as he probably noticed how dirty it looked and decided to leave it clean it for us without any extra charge. I was very appreciative of that, so I tipped him $20 extra. Loved the results and will keep using him for future jobs. He already quote me to clean my solar panels and I already booked him for a future date! Also, he always answers calls/texts in a fast timely manner. Unlike others that take days to get back to me. Loved that too!"

"They spent a great deal of time making certain the door was properly hung and installed. They even took me to a home supply warehouse to pick out the door (and the pet door). They were very friendly, courteous, and professional. They cleaned up after themselves. These people are a rare find among contractors!"

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

To hang Christmas lights on a ceiling without using nails or traditional hooks, you have several damage-free options. Adhesive hooks and clips are a popular choice. For smaller projects, you can use pushpins, tacks, or adhesive putty. Specially designed transparent tape that can hold weight without damaging paint is also effective. For a more creative approach, consider stringing the lights over a curtain rod near the ceiling. If you have a drop ceiling, look for clips and hooks designed to attach to the metal framing. Note that staples can also be used, but may leave small holes.

It’s not a good idea to mix LED and incandescent Christmas lights if you can avoid it. LEDs and incandescents can have significantly different electrical current needs. This difference can lead to a higher risk of problems and failure for both light strands. When possible, switch all your lights over to one kind or the other for the best results. Do not connect the different types of light strings to each other, and avoid linking them to the same circuit.

The type of lighting you choose can have a big part in the aesthetic and function of your space. Ambient lighting refers to indirect or diffused lighting that evenly reaches most areas of the space. Task lighting illuminates specific areas, such as a workspace. Accent lighting draws attention to details in your home, and decorative lighting draws attention to itself.

Using a staple gun to hang Christmas lights on your roof or shingles is not recommended. Puncturing your roof with staples can cause damage, leading to cracks, leaks, and exposure to the elements. Staples are also less reliable than other methods like roof clips. For a safer alternative that won't damage your roof, use shingle tabs.

Yes, a holiday lighting installation can be a DIY project. While it is possible for homeowners to do it themselves, it's crucial to ensure all safety precautions are taken. This includes using the proper tools, following electrical safety guidelines, and carefully planning the layout. For large or high displays, professional installation is often recommended to ensure safety and a more polished appearance.
