"I contact Tubs and Tops for a quote and sent them some pictures of my 1974 tub that had been rusting--I got an immediate response with a description of the process. They were able to come by the same week that I called.
The tech showed up a little early and called when he arrived. He was very friendly and got straight to work. It took about 3 hours from start to finish. He was very careful to tape up the bathroom to make sure none of our surfaces/fixtures were damaged during the process. The tech was very knowledgeable and walked me through the process and even gave me some pointers on how to maintain our new tub. Once he was completed, he cleaned up the area and it looks like we have a brand new tub!
I'm pleased with the work they did and it beats having to get a whole new tub, have it disposed, installation, etc etc.

"I had had problems with a prior waterfall leaking and ponding, so when I did the contract with Suburbia, at my request they agreed to give me a two year warranty for those particular problems.  Unfortunately, I have had constant problems with my waterfall both leaking and ponding (it's supposed to be pondless) in the last almost two years since Suburbia installed it.  However, the main reason I'm writing this review is to complain about their poor responsiveness on warranty issues.  Each time, I have to call them multiple times before I even get a response, they fail to show up when they say they will, and they still haven't fixed the problems with the waterfall notwithstanding coming out many times since it was installed.  They also came up with a design that is apparently very difficult to maintain and requires pulling all the rocks apart to get to the source.  To be fair, I do think that Doug is extremely gifted artistically, and we do love the look of the waterfall (especially when we can actually have it running when it's not leaking, etc.).  I just can't recommend them, though, for their ability to have an effective functional design or for their responsiveness on warranty issues, which is terrible.

"I contacted Mason Man on Friday 9/25/2015 in regard to having some masonry repair performed on my home.  No one was  available at that time so I left contact information and some details about the work I needed done with the receptionist.  The initial response was very prompt and left me with a good feeling about our interaction.  He returned my call on Monday 9/28/15 and we discussed the work that I needed done and set up a time for him to look at my home and report back with an estimate.  He was supposed to have looked at my home on Wed 9/30/15 and sent me an estimate by Fri 10/2/15.  I was not at home at the set date so I do not know if he ever looked at my home or not because the phone call on 9/28/15 was the last I heard of him.  I called on 10/15/15 to try and follow up, he did not answer so I left a message and still have not heard anything.  Needless to say, a lack of responsiveness is the fastest way to lose potential business.  I will say that the one time I spoke with him, he sounded very knowledge in regard to masonry work but that having been my only experience I can not say as to whether that rings true.

Edit:  Not long after posting this a contact reached out to us.  They apologized and explained that our paperwork had been misplaced.  From there everything went smoothly.  They prioritized our job over others as we had a portion of rock that was threatening to fall and was a safety hazard.  The job planning could have been better because after demoing the problem area we had to wait two weeks for material to arrive.  The issue was above our front door so this meant that we were unable to use our front door for two weeks as there was scaffolding in the way

Aside from the two complaints above, I am very pleased with the transaction with mason man.  The work appears to be of the highest quality and they even took care not to damage the landscaping around the work area, which we greatly appreciate as we have had issues with careless contractors in the past.  Would definitely recommend Mason Man."

"Had a long desired walkway added in lawn. Love it every time we avoid wet grass and muddy ground when it rains. Pretty addition to lawn. Plan to add more pavement augments from this company."

"Went well - everything is looking great as it’s being finished, and Tim brought in another expert for part of the ceiling patch/repair to result in the most professional looking job. Older leak above apparently resulted in some mold growth between top floor and ceiling, so they had to tear it open, test, spray anti-microbial, then patch with drywall, texture, paint. Nice guys, and would recommend."

Install Above Ground Pools questions, answered by experts

When you’re winterizing your pool, you need to drain some of the water to prevent cracking and warping from ice. Nonetheless, you should never drain all of the water. Ideally, you’ll lower the water level to anywhere from four to six inches below the skimmer. This will protect the structural integrity of the walls, help prevent your pool liner from warping, and reduce damage from debris.

Pavers are a great decking option for pools. They’re customizable, come in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors, textures, materials, and price points, and they’re slip-resistant. Concrete pool decks, on the other hand, are harder to repair and replace if damaged and aren’t as slip-resistant as most paver materials. However, not all pavers are equal in terms of durability, maintenance, and performance. Pavers also have their own cons that may encourage homeowners to opt for stamped concrete instead, such as higher upfront costs.

Yes, you can put too much shock in a pool, and it is crucial to follow the directions on the product you are using. Adding excess shock can upset the chemical balance, make the water cloudy, have adverse effects on swimmers, damage pool equipment or surfaces, and even encourage certain types of algae to grow. If you have over-shocked your pool, perform a water test and adjust the chemicals as necessary. The pool's chemical balance will eventually return to normal as the excess chlorine dissipates over time.

Remodel costs vary, often 50-70% of new construction costs, depending on remodeling depth and choices for feature additions or modifications.

Shipping container pools last up to 25 years. On average, they’re more durable than the standard aboveground pool, which only lasts 10 to 20 years. Their durability is similar to fiberglass in-ground pools. Concrete pools, on the other hand, outlive almost any other type of pool. They can last indefinitely as long as you resurface them as needed.
