Mike Thorton grew up in Oregon working in forestry while in high school, and came to attend Abilene Christian University as a pole-vaulter. He earned a degree in Education, specializing in Physical Education. I taught school for ten years while doing landscape maintenance in the evenings. I have now been in the tree business for 24 years. We have 4 skilled trimmers that can handle any job. Each trimmer has their ground hands that cleans up and chips. The owner and foremen do all the cutting, and the additional members work as Ground Crew. "We ask they start service beginning in May. They came out April 30th but did not mow due to rain. They spent about 15 mins edging and blowing and gave me a $220 full month invoice for the month of April. Called them to complain; revised bill for edging and blowing to $50. They mowed 4 times in May, did some light weeding and trimming. Weeding and trimming were not substantial enough - - my wife and I had to go back and retrim/weed. Canceled service. Basically wound up paying them about $275 for what should have been $220. We found even the $220 monthly rate as overpriced considering what services were performed."

Black Plumbing is a 20 year old family owned business with a fleet of 16 trucks and 27 employees.

"over paid to have "professionals" update the plumbing in one of our homes. they never finished the job. They tried to force my wife to pay for terrible work while I was gone. When i arrived back they admitted to lying to my wife and had to re do a lot of the work. Left a pipe cut in the wall and turned the water on and left. they did come back and fix that. Worst communication iv ever delt with. paid to have the exterior pipes in the wall insulated. none of them are. Did not seal any of the exterior holes they made per code. Did not insulate the out side main water line that we paid for. 6 weeks and they had to redo alot of the lines because we caught them either 2" under ground vs the "10-12" like they stated. How they have such good reviews is a mystery. please do not let them scam you."
