"They showed up the first time when they were supposed to. They state in their quote they will sanitize the attic and they would seal the openings. They would come back once a week until no more rats were noted. They showed up the first week. Did not show up the second week. I called and they finally showed up the 4th week and found no rats. They said they would be back the next week but never showed up. Sanitize is a pretty strong word. I saw no evidence of sanitizing and I would think sanitizing means cleaning up the droppings. This was not done. How can an area be considered sanitized when there are rat drippings all over the floor."

CedarCide produces an all-natural, organic alternative to chemical-based pesticides that is safe to use around children and pets. We use Cedar Oil which works on insects both as a repellant and as a “knock down” killer (kills on contact). CedarCide products are 100% natural and non-toxic, and are available in a variety of forms, from ready to use sprays to concentrates. Cedar oil is a proven insect repellent that has been used for thousands of years. Since it is 100% organic and has no harmful effect to people or the environment, our products can be sprayed on people & pets, poured into standing water, sprayed onto surfaces, fogged into spaces or even applied to a customer’s entire yard through hose-end sprayers or sprinkler systems using a simple plug & play injection system. Whether you are looking for animal protection products, lawn pesticides, wood preservation & protection, or have a certain pest that is becoming a nuisance, we have an organic solution for you!

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

In certain cases, yes, the bees may go away on their own, but it’s a risk. Some bee types, such as bumblebees, create seasonal nests and then die out as their new queens seek homes elsewhere. But in most cases, you can’t count on the bees leaving naturally. It’s also not a great idea to leave openings in your walls any longer than you have to, which can attract other pests or cause moisture damage.

DIY animal removal is rarely a good idea and is not advised for many reasons. First, these types of animals can carry diseases and, therefore, pose a health risk to you, your family, and your pets if mishandled. Second, depending on your city or municipality, it may be illegal to remove or handle wildlife yourself.

Sealing your home against these animals yourself is also a bad idea. Trapping an animal under your house will cause odor and insect problems when it passes away.

Probably not. Many imitation nests are meant to be hung from trees or other tall places, but not all yellow jackets nest up high—most species, such as the common yellow jacket and the southern yellow jacket, build nests in the ground.

You might be tempted to call your local municipality to remove animals from your property, such as a groundhog burrowing in your yard or raccoons getting into your trash cans. However, they typically only remove domestic animals like dogs and cats from properties, or sick and injured wildlife that pose a public safety risk or health threat, such as a rabid animal. They typically do not capture or remove healthy wildlife.

Animal removal professionals have the tools, knowledge, and skills to trap and remove wild animals adequately and humanely. They also can relocate them correctly.

Honey bees are most likely to swarm during spring and early summer, typically from April through June, as colonies expand and prepare for new growth. Swarming occurs when a hive becomes overcrowded, prompting the queen and a group of worker bees to leave in search of a new nesting site. During this time, you may notice a temporary increase in bee activity around your property.
