My partner brought our Golden Kenzie in yesterday Dec. 30 at 8am for a check-up and anal gland expression. When she came home without the dog, I was wondering why South Mesa had to “ sedate” the dog to take care of it. We waited for the vet to call for us to pick Kenzie up, and after two hours, called in to find out she was ready to go. My partner picked her up and upon getting home, Kenzie was a basket case, still woozy, couldn’t stand, completely paranoid, Then after a few hours wouldn’t lay down for more than literally a few seconds, was pacing in circles constantly, and obviously in terrible pain. The vet was not “available” at pick up! The service cost almost $500!!! We were not offered nor given any medications or discussion on check-out. The vet called later in the afternoon and was informed of the situation. We were told that this is normal for sedation and that she should calm down after dinner time. Well she didn’t, and things just got worse over the hours of craziness! Nobody from the vet was available after closing time for questions or medication or help as my dog suffered. In the paperwork they had given another vet clinic’s number, so we called it but it wasn’t anyone associated with the first vet, just an emergency clinic in town that had no idea what was going on with my dog other than what we knew. We spent almost another $200 for that vet to see our dog, and they at least gave us something for Kenzie’s pain and something to help her sleep a bit. The second vet was astonished the first vet had given us our dog back in such condition. I guess everybody wanted to go home to party and once we paid they were done! I and all my friends and neighbors have pets and I have seen just about every vet in Fort Collins and a few in Loveland and this is by far the worse care I have ever seen given to a pet!!! I’m sitting here at 3:45am writing this as my partner and my Kenzie try and get a bit of sleep after day one of this ordeal, knowing that day two and three may be just as bad, and it breaks my heart!!! All I can say after $700 is give your money to a vet who actually cares about your pet!!!

They overcharge. They have a nice waiting room and everything, but the woman who used treat our cat retired. We stayed with the outfit and another doctor looked at our cat and diagnosed a heart murmur. They said they had to do a teeth cleaning and call in a specialist to treat the heart murmur.

We went to another doctor that said the cat was fine and just had a heart curve, not a murmur. There was nothing wrong with the cat. They wanted to charge me $1000 when nothing was wrong with the cat.

They misdiagnosed our cat and the cost couldn't have been worse.

Dr. foster has been treating my animals for about 15+yrs. She is fabulous and wonderful. I had a 12 yr. old retriever that develops diabetes and a serious heart condition. She treated him until he was 13 and frac12; yrs. old, I couldn't believe she got him to that age. She is tip top. The have a lot of alternative modalities.

It is going very well so far. If you want your young puppy to be socialized and learn good habits to keep them safe and happy for the rest of their lives I strongly suggest this class and Ashley Foster.

Dr. Foster is responsive, caring, she gives time, and she's prompt. She cares about the animals and always makes time. She's very competent and I would highly recommend her.
