I have traveled across several states building and detailing Multi-million dollar projects as well as remodeling various properties. I recently moved to Lubbock in order to help take care of my family, and I am trying to start my own business to work for myself and build a relationship within the community. I take pride in everything I work on, so I want you to get exactly what you imagine when you hire me in confidence.

Small jobs welcome

"I needed a drawer repaired for a duplex we owned to get it ready for a client to move into within a couple of days. Dean did the work while I waited for it at his shop and it only took him a short time to complete. It was beautifully done and the price was great. I have used him since then for similar work as well and plan on using him in the future to built a complete set of kitchen cabinets for our duplexes soon. I highly recommend him for anyone who want's extremely good craftsmanship and done with kind, considerate, caring people you can trust every single time."

"We love our cabinets! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The friendly staff at AWD helped us from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and gave us advice and tips when needed. They were receptive and patient with our ever-changing needs. Once we finalized our purchase, we received our cabinets within two weeks! The cabinets are very sturdy and the color is beautiful. The hinges and hardware are high quality. We are extremely pleased with AWD and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for good cabinets at a fair price."

"A lot of small stuff was off uneven tile seat where water won’t run off , did not evenly space tile to get rid of small pieces. Installed towel rack about three inches off center and covered our bedroom with a thick dust."

"He remodeled my kitchen including my custom cabinets and all the shelving for my pantry. I always get compliments on how very beautiful the cabinets are. I did therefore recommend him to my mother for grab bars, cabinets, and other things to help her stay in her home; he similarly did a great job for her. Throughout he has always been very patient, especially with my elderly mother, listening and making sure that we all understand each other. He then delivered on all his promises and I cannot say enough nice things about him."

"The repair went great! Paul has a lot of knowledge on remodeling and repair. He works quick and does a fantastic job. He did a good job at trying to keep the work area clean and cleaned up after himself afterward. He is very honest and was able to work with my schedule. I would recommend American Remodel and Repair to anyone I know who needs a remodel or repair."

Cabinet Making questions, answered by experts

Yes, garage cabinets are worth it to organize the tools, supplies, equipment, and gear you’ve been storing in the garage. Garage cabinets provide a great way to declutter your space while also preserving your valuables—keeping them free from dust, debris, and various weather elements. Not to mention, garage cabinets also elevate the look of your garage, which can prove beneficial when you’re looking to sell your home.

It’s much less expensive to build your own garage shelves, and you’ll still get stable, long-lasting, and sharp-looking shelves. Garage storage systems cost between $615 and $2,635, with the national average of about $1,455. Building DIY garage shelves typically costs less than $500, and the quality of a DIY garage shelving unit will almost always be higher than what you could buy premade for the equivalent price.

For safety when installing a vanity, attaching the vanity to the wall is ideal to prevent it from moving. Typically, sinks must be 4 inches away from bathtubs. Also, most states require that you have 21 inches in front of a sink, but the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) recommends 30 inches for more comfort.

It can take anywhere from two to six hours to install bathroom cabinets, depending on the complexity of the project. Keep in mind that this doesn’t include the time to build custom cabinets if you go that route. You can also expect the project to be on the lower end of the range if you hire a pro, as opposed to DIYing the task.

In many homes, upper cabinets are installed with a 1- to 2-foot gap between the tops and the ceiling. However, many homeowners extend their cabinets to the ceiling to gain extra storage and a polished, built-in look.
