"Once cleaned, a sealer was applied to the tile and grout. The floors looked like new! I was very satisfied with the work - the company showed up early, got right to work, and were done before I knew it. Unlike some vendors I have had in my home, there was no cell phone ringing, nor was there texting while the work was going on! I will definitely keep BTECC in mind when it is time for new carpet or to have carpets stretched!"

"Randy did an excellent job in polishing my kitchen granite countertop for a low price. I had my granite installed 2 months ago by someone else who did a poor job and never polished after grinding/shaping them. The granite countertop near the edges had no shine and looked awful. But Randy restored it to a perfect shine and perfectly blended. My granite is black colored which is harder to bring a shine, but Randy made it look like easy and was successful using the right diamond pads, equipment, and liquids. Randy is very professional, knowledgable, and guaranteed his work. I highly recommend him!"

"A few days before we were scheduled to move into our new home, we discovered that none of the natural stone surfaces had been sealed. We knew it was important to have the floors sealed and protected before movers began to bring our belongings into the home, and also have the showers and countertops sealed before we settled in. The entire first floor has travertine floors, travertine walk-in master shower, granite countertops, and slate backsplash. All bathrooms on the second floor have travertine floors and tub enclosures. We were a bit panicked at trying to find a company who could do the job on such short notice. Roberto was professional and reassuring on the phone when I called to explain our dilemma. He met us at the home, quickly and quietly determined how much sealant would be needed, then invited us to his office to see a demonstration of how the product worked. He explained about the different types of sealants, how they worked, the costs, and durability of each. We were able to make a very informed decision based on his thorough information. The product we chose had to be ordered from Australia, and we were a little fearful that it might not be shipped in time. Once the sealant is applied, it requires a dry time of about 8 hours. Roberto reassured us that he would get the job done. The product arrived in the nick of time, Roberto and his crew started the labor intensive job around 5:30pm, finished around 10pm, and the movers started bringing in our things around noon the next day! We were speechless and beyond grateful that Roberto did exactly what he said--he got the job done, and done with extreme care and quality. He came over a few days later to personally follow-up. He told us how to maintain all of the surfaces, and to call him if we ever had any questions. We couldn't be more pleased with the entire process and with Roberto, and will recommend Solid Stone Manufacturing to friends and family.

"They did an awesome job. They weren’t cheap. I don’t have a copy of the receipt in my computer, I don’t think I scanned it yet, so I’ll be guessing at the price. They did a really good job. They were like the last ones to do any work for us because when they were done, we didn’t want to walk on the floors. I don’t know what’s a fair price, they did a lot of work. They saved me a lot of money from replacing it, so I guess the pricing was okay too. It wasn’t cheap though. We didn’t get any other bids. Definitely for professionalism, responsiveness, the quality, all of that I would give them an “A”. I give them an “A” for pricing because they did a lot of work."

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

Vinegar is an excellent cleaner for vinyl flooring and won’t ruin the material. Mopping the floor with a cup of vinegar diluted in a gallon of warm water can make it sparkle.

Yes, you can polish an old cement floor. However, be aware that the first pass with the concrete grinder may reveal a few surprises and imperfections. You may also have to contend with the consequences of previous floor coverings, such as tile or carpet, which can leave a pattern in the concrete. Old concrete is more likely to produce uneven results if you want to use a dye or other coloring.

The best way to clean vinyl floors is to vacuum or sweep away debris and then mop the floors using a mixture of warm water and dish soap or vinegar. You can also use store-bought cleaners if they’re marked safe for vinyl surfaces.

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.

Yes, vinegar and water can strip wax. For a DIY wax stripper, mix about a quarter cup of vinegar with one gallon of warm water. You can also mix one cup of cream of tartar, one cup of white vinegar, and one gallon of water. Before using it on a large area of the floor, you should test it in an inconspicuous place to make sure it works like you want it to.
