"When I bought this house, it was was filthy, smelled horrible from outside even, was rodent and roach-infested. Counters, floors were wet and rotting. Everything had to be torn out and rebuilt. "Preston of G-1 Plumbing performed the services and addressed the toilet & drain problem. He was unable to stop leak(made it worse) & submitted his recs to Choice Home for review. I was unable to understand Choice Home's response regarding the faucet leak. Their review stated faucet needed to be replaced BUT it was under "builder's warranty." I built this home in 2005. There is no "builder's warranty" now. I cancelled the proposed work order & paid out-of-pocket. A Friend, who was familiar with my builder and knows faucet components, came to my home, adjusted/cleaned the faucet cartridge and stopped the leak. The CHW tech, Preston, is conscientiuos, however, IMHO lacked the knowledge & experience to stop my leak. Home Warranty Companies, at least in my area, hire owner/operators who need the work to build their business and are NOT the most experienced/knowledgeable & are willing to work for less money. In my experience, Home Warranty Companies want the CHEAPEST resolution, not the BEST. I would recommend G-1 Plumbing for most plumbing issues."

In today’s service environment, it’s become an incredible challenge just to find a responsive resource, let alone hoping they’re credible, knowledgeable, dependable, and honest! However, we were so fortunate to find it all, and then some, with Joseph at JDS. From the consultation phase, through to project completion, Joseph was amazing with two major projects. First, we utilized his services on-site for major interior / exterior updates in preparation to sell our home in Texas ... kitchen, baths, floors, fence, roof, backyard hardscaping, deck repairs ... just to mention a few. Thanks to his expertise, the house sold in one day. We then again tapped into his expertise remotely throughout the extensive search, purchase, and renovation phases of our new home in New Hampshire. The pandemic made it almost impossible to find reliable resource, and he made himself available yet again throughout all phases of consult / oversight for kitchen upgrades, reconfigure of unfinished lower level space to include build-out of a closet, convert a half bath to a three quarter by adding a shower, install of new floors, which gave us the ability to convert the space into a guest suite with a bedroom and living area. Additionally, he is assisting with finish out of drop ceilings, roof repairs, and much, much more. There’s not much about a home he’s not well versed on. Even with a few unexpected challenges on both projects, we always knew his calm and caring manor would bring them to resolution. In summary, his services have been invaluable.
