Customers say: True professional

"Unlike their competitors, R & G Tree Service responded to my request for a quote on the same day! They came exactly when they said they would, and within two days, they had us on their schedule. They were professional, courteous, and fast! They were able to prune three very large, overgrown oak trees. They left no mess and did no damage to our roof or property, and our trees are BEAUTIFUL! ? They clearly take pride in their work, which is a rare quality to find these days! We really appreciate their help with a job that was too large and unsafe for us to handle ourselves at this point, especially before the latest storm blows in! Thank you again, R&G Tree Service!"

"All Season Care was very Efficient. The two Douglus Fur trees that had to be removed were 35 and 50 feet tall and had died. They were very close to the house (4 or 5 ft away), and All Season Care made sure they had the right equipment for their safety and my home's. I was very happy with the service. They even removed the Logs afterwards."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The best tool to cut trees is a chain saw. You can adjust your chain saw to the correct size based on the size of the branches, offering you the fastest and cleanest cut for medium- to large-sized trees. Depending on the type of chainsaw you use, you can cut through larger trees than you would with a more manual tool like an ax.

Yes, it’s okay to trim low branches on a tree, also known as limbing up or raising the crown. Essentially, you’ll trim the lower third of the tree (trunk) and leave the upper two-thirds of the tree (crown). Arborists recommend trimming 20% of a tree’s leaves per season for two to three seasons. Trimming low branches allows light to flow through the tree, increasing circulation and making the tree stronger and healthier.

A tree branch should start to form roots in about three months. It can take about a year for a tree branch to develop roots strong enough to go in the ground. For best results, start several branches because, no matter how closely you follow instructions, they won’t all form roots. Compost any that aren’t thriving.

Dying trees and even dead trees can spread diseases to other living trees. There are many different types of tree diseases, so it’s essential to address the issue as soon as possible to prevent the disease from spreading to other healthy trees. If the tree cannot be saved and is infected, you need to have it removed to protect the other trees on your property.

Usually, trees cannot grow back after their stump has been ground, but some very hearty types of trees can. For example, if you have a black locust or Redford pear, the grinding will need to go deep to prevent them from growing back. Ask your tree service or stump removal expert whether your tree can resprout after its stump is ground down.
