Bugabug Pest Control began in June 1999. Mark Foltz, the owner, has worked in this industry for 28 years, both as a top producer for a world-wide company and as a technician. The glimmer of Bugabug flickered when Mark could not continue to support a company that sold service to its customers but did not live up to their service agreement. The Foltz family had a 3 month old son, $3000 in the bank a used truck that had to be fumigated, and faith. Mark wanted to supply a service based on honesty, affordability, and dependability. With an add in the Greensheet, miles of putting out fliers, word of mouth, and out-of-the-ordinary and dependable first rate service, Bugabug has grown into a two-location company that serves over 20 counties.

The cockroach most easily confused with water bugs is the Oriental cockroach, for several reasons. Their shape is most similar to a water bug, and they’re notorious for seeking out and living near water. If you capture one of these bugs close to a water supply, you can quickly tell if it’s an Oriental roach or a water bug. These roaches are a darker color, and they cannot fly, while water bugs are a lighter brown and can fly to escape.

If you spot a bug in your home that seems very similar to a flea, it’s likely a springtail, which is a tiny jumping insect that can resemble a flea. Unlike fleas, they are not dangerous to humans or animals because they don’t bite. Fleas are smaller than springtails, which is how you can distinguish them.

There are several ways to make your yard a less attractive habitat for moles. Protect your garden beds by installing a fence or other barrier about 2 to 3 feet deep around your garden.

Moles eat insects, so grub removal is another important way to prevent moles from destroying your yard.

Likewise, remove tree stumps, dead leaves, and other debris that attract insects to your lawn. Some plants will deter moles as well, including daffodils, marigolds, crown imperial, and alliums, like garlic or onions.

There’s no denying the striking resemblance, but squash bugs are different from the brown marmorated stink bug. While both are shield-shaped and emit a foul odor when crushed, they belong to different insect families and target different plants. Squash bugs primarily attack squash, pumpkins, and other cucurbits, while stink bugs have a much broader range of host plants, including fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants. Their eggs and feeding damage also differ, making proper identification key for effective pest control.
