"My depression ran pretty deep this time and I know I let it get very bad I made phone call after phone call and talk to six different cleaning crews and nobody was willing to help me until I talked to Santos he listened to what I needed he was very compassionate and easy to work with I don't have a whole lot of money and he said that was perfectly fine he could work with me he came out the same day to do a look around and I was beyond embarrassed but he never made me feel any less they did an absolute amazing job and I feel as though a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders and I can breathe easier now and knowing that they will be there to always help me when I'm going to need it and to be able to keep up with a nice clean house I could not recommend them enough I will always be grateful"

"This young man talked so long on this interview/visit that he really didn't leave much time to clean my floors, which was what I needed. Then he only did a mediocre job. Actually, he didn't follow my instructions so the floors weren't really "cleaned" at all. He just moved all the dust, grass and dog hair around with his broom (which I asked that he not use), then used my steamer which created dirty smudges on my tile. Perhaps this extremely nice young man should stick to cleaning vacant homes for builders.

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

The answer to this question depends on how large the room is and how much experience you have stripping and waxing floors. It will take at least 24 hours to strip the floors, then you must allow time for drying, waxing, waiting for them to cure, and, finally, buffing them. Since you likely will not be working for the full 24 hours, it is safe to say that this is a two- or three-day job.

To maintain vinyl and linoleum floors, regular sweeping and damp mopping are recommended. It is also important to avoid using harsh chemicals, as this helps maintain the floor's appearance and integrity while preventing damage.

The cost to polish floors averages around $200 per room, but you could pay anywhere from $100 to $300. Some factors that influence the total cost of floor polishing include the following:

  • Square footage of flooring

  • Type of floor

  • Whether you need floor repairs done beforehand

  • Whether or not you want professional floor cleaning done beforehand

Since square footage is the most significant cost factor, you might get a more accurate estimate by using the average cost per square foot for floor polishing, which is between $1.00 and $2.50.

You can mop bamboo floors, but exercise caution to protect the material from excess moisture, which can seep into the bamboo, causing it to warp and well. Moisten a microfiber mop and wring it out until it’s just damp, or use a pH-neutral cleaner, as this will prevent damage to the bamboo fibers. Avoid harsh chemicals, like traditional floor cleaners. After cleaning, wipe the floor dry.

While it is not recommended, you can mix Bon Ami with vinegar for a more powerful cleaning mixture. However, you should avoid mixing other types of powder cleaners, such as Comet and Ajax, with vinegar or with each other, as the reaction often creates a toxic gas that’s dangerous to the human body.
