"We had a great experience with this drywall repair company. The owner, Trent, and Alan were both extremely professional and took the time to explain the entire process and what to expect. What really stood out was how much care they took to protect our home—they covered everything to keep the space clean while they worked. The finished result was incredible. You honestly can’t tell there was ever any damage there in the first place. The wall looks completely seamless, like the repair never even happened. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing drywall work."

"I had a fantastic experience with The Patch Boys. My AC was leaking, and they efficiently opened the ceiling to access the air ducts for repairs and came back to patch it back up. Tom and his team were professional, thorough, and left the area clean. I highly recommend them for drywall/Sheetrock needs. Great service!"

"- [ ] L&D Painting & Remodeling was excellent from start to finish. They scheduled and came to my house for an estimate very quickly. We were getting our house ready to be put on the market for sale and needed a lot of work done. One of the owners, Leo, personally listened to what we wanted and wasn’t intimidated by a big job. Leo understood what we wanted and was respectful of the fact that we wanted to stay within a stated budget to get the job done. He was honest about what he could and could not do within the budget and made appropriate recommendations to achieve our goals. We had the entire interior and exterior of the house painted, drywall work, ceiling repair, back yard fence repair and stain, carpet laid throughout the house, garage floor epoxy coating, new bathroom and wall fixtures installed, a new screen door and a few other things. L&D Painting & Remodeling handled every aspect of the job professionally and the workmanship was top notch. Additionally, Leo and his staff went over and above, working late into the night, to deliver the completed job in a very short turnaround because we wanted to put our house on the market ASAP. They did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend L&D Painting and Remodeling to anyone who wants fast and quality work at a fair price!!"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Yes, even if you’re being careful, removing tile can damage your drywall to some degree. However, you can minimize the damage done to it by eliminating a majority of the grout and taking your time prying each tile off. Also, it's worth noting that you might have more drywall damages to deal with if your tile is set into the mortar.

You should not leave drywall outside, especially overnight or in a wet, humid climate. Exposure to rain and humidity can damage the drywall, weakening its structural integrity and making it susceptible to mold growth. If you must leave drywall outside during a project, be sure to cover it with a tarp or keep it inside a storage shed to protect it. Even drywall intended for exterior projects requires a protective moisture barrier. For best results, store any extra drywall in a dry area away from the elements.

Although they are used for similar tasks, spackle and joint compound are not the same. Joint compound, also known as drywall mud, consists of limestone and gypsum and is primarily used for large-scale projects like taping and finishing seams on new drywall. Spackle is composed of gypsum and binding agents, making it a thicker compound best suited for small wall repairs like filling nail holes or cracks, as it dries quickly and is easy to sand. For small repairs, either product can be suitable. However, you can use joint compound for small jobs in place of spackle, but you cannot use spackle for large-scale taping and mudding projects.

Eco-friendly options reduce environmental impact and often improve indoor air quality.

You should do a little bit of sanding between adding coats of mud. Knock down any ridges or significantly imperfect areas through sanding, which should help you apply the next coat of mud smoothly. If your first coat of mud is pretty smooth after it dries, a quick sanding is all you’ll need. Don’t forget to wipe away any dust after each sanding process.
