Customers say: Quick response

"hard workers, polite, respectful of property, and reasonably priced for work that needed to be done. They climbed and cut down a large forked tree next to house. I plan on having them back in a few weeks to cut two more large trees down. All in the back yard. No damage to deck, roof or anything else. Worked next to rose bushes and I still have roses in tact. Unbelievable. thanks guys!"

"I was very impressed with Abel Tree Service! They were always prompt and courteous. I don't know much about trees and bushes, so I didn't know what the best way to trim up those in my yard. Junior at Abel Tree Service clearly knew a lot about the trees and bushes in my yard and gave great advice. My yard looks so much bigger now and more sunlight can reach the other plants. I'm very happy with their work and will use them again."

"Mr. Valdez discussed with my husband & I about the job & price. He texted us the estimate on the invoice & we agreed. He communicated to us a date & time. He & his crew came did the job with no problems. He & his crew were very professional & got the job done in a timely manner. They cleaned up all the tree ? mess. Mr. Valdez & his crew did an awesome job! We are very pleased. I would highly recommend him & his team again. They were as professional as he was. He spoke very professionally & asked us if we had any questions. If there was anything else he could do. He completed the job professionally. I would recommend his services again. They had 5 trees to deal with. Thank you. ?"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

It’s possible to transplant trees as tall as 50 feet when an experienced tree planting service uses the right equipment. However, a tree with a trunk larger than two or three inches in diameter needs to be handled by a professional in order to yield successful transplanting results. Consulting a tree planting professional is the best way to tell if your large tree can be safely transplanted.

Whether tree roots will continue to grow after a tree has been cut down depends on the species. Some tree roots will eventually die because they can no longer get nutrients through photosynthesis. However, other species that reproduce through root sprouts can continue to grow and produce new sprouts for seven years or more. For example, the roots of elms, ficus, and willows tend to regrow aggressively, while the roots of pines, oaks, and maples will typically die. To determine if a root system is still active, look for new sprouts on the old trunk, stump, or any exposed roots.

Ivy eventually kills trees by restricting its growth, blocking sunlight, absorbing nutrients and water from the soil, and weakening the tree. Trees with ivy are more likely to experience diseases, pests, rot, and fungi growth. When ivy weighs down tree branches, the tree is more likely to break during a storm and cause damage.

Bradford pear trees bloom in early spring with small white flowers. They typically flower for at least two weeks. In bloom, these trees often emit a foul-smelling odor that’s often compared to rotting fish. Bradford pear trees will sometimes bloom in the fall due to drought or other stress-inducing conditions.

Costs range from $500 to $5,000 per tree, depending on size, location, and accessibility.
