"Wanted to keep up with the new consumer trend of doorbell cameras. Got one for our front door and motion sensors for our main rooms inside. No extra fees or anything weird like that. Straightforward and honest process with this ADT dealer partner."

"We own a small family operated jewelry store and decided to get ADT for protection and surveillance. Prior, we just had Ring and it was not sufficient or reliable. This has clearer cameras and a much better app experience. Happy with our new system and equipment."

"This company called immediately. They scheduled the work to install my wireless ring doorbell for the next day. The worker was on time. He placed the doorbell up quickly. He stayed to make sure I knew how to use the ring doorbell. I would use them again."

"Self installed is the only option. System works fine for the most part though we have had problems with the motion sensor cameras. Not that I have anything against FrontPoint, but if I were replacing system, I would probably go with Simply Safe now that they have cameras."

"Carl called me immediately. We discussed the problems. He gave me good advice. I was able to diagnose where some of my wire problems were. He gave me alternate affordable solutions. He came and replaced my system board, connected wires Brinks had not been able to connect and offered affordable wireless solution where window contractors had cut wires that could not be replaced. His monitoring service also saves me $10/month. I was so impressed that I had Carl qoute on our office security system and communication wiring. He go the job and is installing it now!"

"I dont even know where to begin. The top notch service and understanding Mr. Matin showed went way Beyond customer service. I was frustrated because I I couldn't get the ring camera to load and he stayed until it was completed. A 30-45 minute job took about 3 hours. He was very professional with getting my cameras setup and his patience was commendable. Mr. Martin is someone's card you make sure you keep. Not just for later use but to refer to anyone who maybe in need of setup security service. He just need to become a Steeler and he be Golden. Definitely recommend him."

FAQs for ring installation projects in Orange, TX

The average cost of a home security system is about $700, ranging from $280 to $1,150. Costs to consider include equipment, surveillance fees, and other additional features. Cost factors that determine your system’s price include the type of security system, materials, labor, activation fees, monthly fees, and permits. Additional features and upgrades may include:

  • Video surveillance monitoring: $40–$65 per month

  • Smart home locks: $150

  • Smart home lighting: $15–$90

  • Smart smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide alarms: $35–$100

  • Smart thermostat: $130–$500

It’s important to ask an electrician a few questions before you commit to hiring them so you can make an informed decision as a consumer. If you’re getting estimates or considering hiring an electrician, ask them these questions:

  • Are you a full-time electrician?

  • Are you bonded, licensed, and insured?

  • What level of experience do you have as an electrician?

  • Can you please share three references?

  • Do you do residential or commercial electrical work?

  • What kinds of electrical work are you most familiar with?

  • Will any subcontractors be performing the work?

  • Are permits and inspections required?

  • Who is responsible for obtaining permits and inspections?

  • What is your schedule?

  • Do you offer a guarantee or warranty on your work?

  • Will you sign a do-not-exceed clause to keep the job within the budget?

Yes, you should get a quote or an estimate from an electrician. Most electricians offer free estimates or quotes. When getting quotes, do your research and verify each electrician’s license. Get quotes from three different electricians to compare. If the prices or items listed appear different on the quotes, ask the electrician to clarify. Learning as much as you can about the electrical work you want done will help you get the most accurate estimate.

Yes, a home security system can be worth it for your peace of mind alone, but it can also save you up to 20% on your home insurance. The insurance savings will help defray the initial setup costs and subscription costs over time. Locations with higher crime rates also make home security systems a valuable investment, but it ultimately depends on your personal preferences and asset values.

Qualified, licensed electricians will charge from $50 to $100 per hour. The cost to hire an electrician for emergency visits may range from $100 to $200 per hour because this urgent service usually takes place during off hours and may require an electrician to leave or reschedule jobs they’re currently working on. Scheduling work on holidays or during periods of high customer demand, like after a major storm, will also lead to higher rates or extra fees.
