We design and build custom cabinets and wood furniture. We also do all sorts of home renovations.

"It went so well and they did exactly what the contract said that they would do. Our contract was specific that left nothing to misunderstand about what I wanted done or they to do. They were working with 24 year old oak cabinets and were exact in matching corners & fronts of those old cabinets. It all looks so good. I worked with the owners daughter. The owner was very nice also. The carpenters were a pleasure to work with. They did their work and then the owner would call or text me to ask it there was anything that needed their attention. The payment process was excellent in that it was all done on Intuit and could come directly out of my checking account."

Like nearly any other upgrade, new and improved kitchen cabinets can increase your property value and make your home more attractive to potential buyers. New melamine cabinets can be a big plus, particularly if you select a classic wood grain or another light neutral color that provides a blank slate for other design elements.

Many kitchens have their original cabinets, so kitchen cabinets can last as long as the house does. If there’s an issue with your sink, a flood, or a fire, your cabinets could be damaged. Outside of that, with proper care, your cabinets should last quite a while, especially if they’re built from long-lasting materials like wood or steel.

You’ll have to make a judgment call. Kitchen ceilings between 8 and 12 feet high typically offer the best-case installations for a new row of cabinets or shelves that will fill the gap. By the time your ceiling reaches 15 feet or higher, as they often do in open floor plans, it’s time to embrace the space and consider toppers that don’t have to reach all the way to the ceiling. You can still get plenty of extra storage with one of our steps above.

There are key differences between a butler’s pantry versus a scullery. A butler's pantry, while much larger than a traditional pantry, is still a dry area primarily used for storage. A scullery, on the other hand, is basically an extra kitchen used for food prep, some storage, and dishware collection. Many sculleries have a dishwasher and sink to wash and store extra dishes, silverware, and servingware.

While there is no standard size for a medicine cabinet, they can range in size from 15 inches to 24 inches wide and are typically between 20 and 22 inches tall. There are plenty of medicine cabinet types that fall outside these parameters though, so it’s a good idea to measure your space before you go searching for the perfect cabinet.
