"I bid the projects with 2 companies and a handy man recommended by a neighbor. KW Painter's owner, James Odom, spent more time estimating the job than the other two combined and bid the jobs at lower prices as individual projects and much, much lower (up to 40%) as a package deal. He specified the materials as all inclusive, with no additional charges if he exceeded his materials estimates. Work crew of 5 and James arrived on time on the agreed date and did the entire job in two days. The crew was courteous and, most important, professional, working as a well coordinated team. Quality of work exceeded my expectations in every respect. The crew took care when moving yard furniture and around the garden areas and pool pump equipment areas where siding needed removal and replacement. Paint was Sherwin Williams, 25 year, and mixed to a perfect match to the 8 year old existing colors on both siding and trim. They calked the entire house, including brick areas with high grade 40 year caulking as specified in the bid. Fence replacement was tied to existing 4X4s sunk into concrete so getting a strong extension to six feet was essential. James did it with 4x4 extensions to the new height reinforced with full length 2X4s bolted to the original and added 4X4s in such a way that it looks great and is more stable and solid than the original posts. The gate was supposed to be a standard gate but he modified it a little as we went along to give it a simple but more custom look, at no extra charge. James used a stronger industrial gate latch than I anticipated which really makes the gate work better than the original it replaced. At the conclusion, they cleaned the entire area and moved everything back to their original locations in the yard. My family has lived in this 37 year old house for 20 years and have used both painters and handy men over the years, including adding a major addition to the back of the house using a professional builder and then later adding the pool 12 years ago. I have been both satisfied and seriously disappointed in the past. However, I have never had an experience as this one where James and his crew worked together in such a coordinated, mutually respectful and positive fashion to meet and exceed my expectations. I will highly recommend this firm to my friends, neighbors and anyone who asks about them. They are a step above any contracting group or individual handyman I have worked with in the past. I will use them again as the need arises."
