"They were quick, clean and very professional. None of them smoked, cursed or even spit on my property. They are a class above the rest of the roofers in the area. The roof itself looks awesome and very clean. They also did under roof repair all around. My house now looks and feels 20 yrs younger!
"
After painting and light installation
The finished product as seen at the completion of the job. This roof will come with a 30 year material warranty from the manufacturer.
The ridge is especially thick, not only providing impact resistance but also a very fancy looking roof.
These new shingles will last for many years to come.

"There were around 60 things I complained about after they replaced my roof. I ask to talk to the owner when the salesman's answer to the complaints was it won't leak and could have cared less what it looked like. The owner came out and fixed a few of the problems and sent someone (other than the crew that replaced the roof) out a few weeks later and fixed all but a couple of the things that were wrong with the roof but there were still a few things that were not fixed. Nobody ever followed up to see if the roof was fixed right. A couple weeks ago I replaced the fascia board at the back of the patio because all the banging from replacing the roof made it look bad (not blaming them for that) and when I removed the old board there was still paint on the felt and some wood on the roof that I feel should have been changed. Before signing the contract the salesman said that they would remove everything from the roof and inspect the wood and if there was any bad parts they would let me know and I could pay $35 per section for it to be replaced before installing the new roof. They must not have removed stuff to the wood and inspected it or the felt would not have had paint on it from were I painted 5 years ago. I emailed the salesman at that time and ask for them to come out and quote replacing the wood I feel should have been replaced when the roof was replaced and got no reply. I emailed the office a week ago and requested someone come talk to me about this problem and still got no reply. Their prices were competitive but I would never recommend these guys for any work. His response that I only emailed them one time and what it said was not true. I emailed the sales person and when ask for a quote on replacing the wood that should have been changed on the roof, not the fascia board. When he didn't answer I went to their web site and I don't see a place to email them other than requesting a quote and I made it clear on that I was talking about fixing what I felt wasn't done right the first time. They came back and replaced the wood that needed replaced but I still feel the shingles on the sides of the house will break when there is a storm and they will say it's an act of god instead of a workmanship problem."

Roofing questions, answered by experts

No, a metal roof will not make your house hot. In fact, metal roofs help keep your home cooler by reflecting heat instead of absorbing and transmitting it inside. Metal also has high thermal conductivity, which means it gains and loses heat quickly. While the sun may heat the metal, the roof rapidly transfers that heat back into the air rather than retaining it. This reflective property can lead to energy cost savings of up to 40%, as your cooling system won't need to work as hard to maintain a consistent indoor temperature.

Technically speaking, yes, verbal agreements and “handshake deals” can be legally binding contracts that will hold up in court, but the suing party will need to be able to prove that the parties entered into the contract. Even though verbal and handshake deals can be binding, it’s risky to rely on these types of agreements for anything, including roofing projects. Always aim to get your contract in writing, and make sure it includes all terms and that you don’t agree to additional terms that don’t appear in the contract.

Cool roofs last for roughly 15 to 30 years. You can install a cool roof coating over an existing roof, but keep in mind that this might not be worth it if your roof is near the end of its life expectancy. If your roof isn’t near the end of its life, adding a cool roof coating can make your existing roof more energy-efficient and help it last longer, so you’ll have to weigh the pros and cons.

Underlayment is used between existing shingles and a new metal roof to prevent friction and wear from the shingle granules on the underside of the metal. The underlayment also helps prevent water intrusion and allows expansion and contraction without wearing away at the roofing material.

The easiest type of roof to build is a shed-style or lean-to roof, which features a single sloping plane from one side of the building to the other. Unlike a gable roof with two sides meeting in the middle, a shed roof's single slope makes the construction process more straightforward. The rafters are typically single pieces of wood that span the distance, often without the need for additional supports.
