Here is my problem with them. The billing starts when the service man left his facility. Even though the billing is 1 hour minimum to show up, he billed for an additional 15 minutes driving time. Additionally, when we checked the invoice, he made a math error, in his favor, by charging an additional 30 minutes. We had to call him back to fix the billing error. Second problem was he replace the sink basket strain. The sink had a brushed nickel strainer and he replaced it with a cheap chrome strainer. The original strainer was less than 1 year old and in all my years I have not seen one spring a leak. I will never know because he took my strainer with him. Third problem they charge an additional rental fee for using the machine of $30. Never saw a change like this before. When my wife questioned the service man about their billing practice he said Ledbetter plumbing is good but we are expensive. I called the owner to register a complaint twice, I missed his first return call and have not heard from him again. My wife does not feel comfortable using this type of service provider and we will not call them again. I would suggest you check your invoice very carefully if you decide to use them. . This describes Carl Blum. Three years ago we decided to repaint our house. The house was built in 2006 and the paint was coming off in 2011. I began researching paint and learned that the builders use PPG paint that is essentially $15 a gallon. If one researches top quality paint (Sherwin Williams Durations), he will immediately notice that the good paint is $55 a gallon. Not only that, most builders don't prime and simply spray the cheap paint on. I noticed my neighbors having their house painted and the company was only using rollers and brushes! When it was time for our house to be painted, I found out the name of the company that did such a good job was Blum Painting and Wall Covering. I contacted Carl and set up an appointment with him to look at the house. After the bid was placed, him and his crew started on the project approximately a week later. Now, one needs to understand that priming, double coating, using the best paint, and sanding the deck by hand is going to be more expensive than simply having someone spray the house. With that said, the price will be higher than some of the other contractors around town, but the paint will continue to look beautiful for many many years. The crew started by power washing the house and the gutters. They used a phosphate based cleaner on the gutters so that the paint would adhere properly. Carl also replaced some would around my fire place that had not been primed and painted properly by the builder. Carl called me and said that he was going to use cedar so that it would hold up better outside. When they got to the deck, he flipped some boards around and made slight repairs before hand sanding (yes hand sanding) the surface! The house and deck came out looking amazing. Three years later the house still looks like it was just painted!. The deck has taken some heat; however, in the past I have had to restain every year. Carl's work and the solid stain have lasted three years. A few weeks ago Carl contacted me out of the blue. I had recommended his company to a coworker (who had Carl paint her house and that of her parents). She was blown away by the quality of the job. Carl called me to thank me for my recommendation. He also said he wanted to know if any parts of the housed needed to be touched up. I can honestly say that Blum Painting and Wall Covering is the best contracting company that I have ever dealt with. The work is top notch and the people are amazing. If you want a personal recommendation, please have Carl contact me and I will be more than happy to explain the great work in person. I had three companies with high Angie's List rankings bid on the job. 21st Century was the mid-range bid. They provided the most comprehensive documented bid of the three. The fact that the bid listed everything the work team would do in detail made me feel confident in knowing what I was getting for my money. I also thought that if the company put this much work into their bids, perhaps I would see these same characteristics (e.g. detail-orientated and thoroughness) in their work. I did. The job took two days. The work crew was made up of the same two men both days. (I unfortunately did not write down their names and have forgotten them.) The work crew showed up on time both days. They were respectful of me and my home. They worked quietly and quickly (no loud music or banter) and were very professional. They did an excellent job of tapping the cabinets and counter tops, not a drop of texture or paint got on my floor tiles, and their drywall patchwork was excellent. As for the painting, they used rollers and brushes, and it turned out beautiful. After painting, they closely inspected all the walls (I assisted) to make sure the paint had gotten into all the nooks and crannies created by the texture. When we found spots needing a touch up, they hand painted the area to make sure it blended perfectly. They went above and beyond to make sure I was pleased with the outcome. Not once did I feel resistance or disrespect when I pointed out a spot, smudge or section I wanted touched up. Recommendations for improvement: The work crew did not do as good of a job cleaning up the wallpaper fragments left on top of my upper cabinets as I expected. Additionally, they used my garden hose outside to wash off their equipment and tools (e.g. air compressor, brushes and pans). However, where they washed their stuff left paint run-off in the middle of my yard. The paint washed away after a few weeks, but I would have preferred them to wash things off by the service fence. They also forgot to wash off the hose after using it and I had paint (splatter and hand prints) on my hose for a few weeks until it wore off. These three things are minor and would not prevent me from using or recommending 21st Century in the future. Brush Chipping reviews from real Angi homeowners in Marshall, TX
I highly recommend Brush Grinders Land Maintenance. My task was preparing a vacant property, which involved significant trash removal, tree and shrubbery trimming and lawn work. They responded immediately to my request, and promptly completed the task for a reasonable price.

We liked all three fence contractors that Home Advisor recommended but Southern Fence Company was able to start right away. They also happened to give us the lowest bid which was nice. They trimmed the brush along the fence line and hauled away the branches. I would recommend them to anyone.
The service man showed up on time and got the drain opened. My wife asked the service man to look at the slow running water at the faucet. The service person found some trash in the line and fixed it. Then he said we had a leak and he replaced the basket strainer in the sink. All in all the...

"This is the second time I've hired Oak Tree Service, and once again, they delivered exceptional results. The first job involved removing a pine tree, and this time they tackled my 17-year-old Live Oak. I still had Chris’s number from the first time, and I’m glad I reached out again. They cut down the tree efficiently and ground the stump about four inches below ground level. Cleanup was thorough — all debris was removed and hauled away. Their professionalism really stood out: one crew member even climbed onto my roof to clear out gutters that were packed with oak leaves. They also lifted the canopy of my second oak tree, which I’m required to keep due to HOA regulations. The total cost for everything was $600 — very reasonable for the scope of work.
The only minor hiccup was a one-day delay in completing the stump grinding, but it was communicated and resolved without issue. Highly recommended for anyone needing reliable, professional tree service.

FAQs for brush chipping projects in Marshall, TX
Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
