"When you hire someone you’re stuck in the spot of do you hire for cheap or do you hire for quality. Nick was quality and from the other quotes I received his prices were fair. At the time he came out and gave me a quote I think there was one person who quotes me lower, but I went with Nick because he took his time to go over options with me, he was easy to talk To and you could tell the passion he has for his work. Nick provided me with a color booklet thing which I swear had over 7,000 options but it was very helpful and beneficial to pick our colors by having them all with you. Nick was able to start within two days of the quote. Him and his team worked quickly, three and a half days for the wall, ceilings and trim of a apprx 1,700 sq ft home. With materials and labor it was about 4,600 (with every penny) Every day I came back to the house I loved how Nick and his team respected my house by cleaning up after themselves and not leaving a mess. They took all of my window rods and closest racks down and placed them back without being able to tell they were even removed in the first place. There’s so stray paint anywhere, I’ve had houses painted where there’s paint left on tops of cabinets, a little on baseboards, so forth and so on, not a issue with Nick and his team. I was just moving into the house and had a busy work schedule so I left my spare key with Nick and was able to feel comfortable by the process. I would recommend Nick to anyone and I already plan on hiring him for other paint projects. Thank you Nick."

"The paint crew came in on time, prepped the walls, covered the floors and painted the walls with a primary coat, then painted the walls with two coats of paint. They cleaned up after the job and were professional throughout the process. I would recommend them to anyone."

"the previous homeowner applied wallpaper to unpainted drywall. When I attempted to remove wallpaper, the paper took off part of the drywall. Mr. Hernandez and his sons were able to repair my damage, seal, and plaster over the old paper, texture the wall and paint it. It looks great. I plan to use them again. Price was good."

"Daniel plus his crew of three arrived promptly each day and worked solid through each day from 7:45 until 5:30 taking about 30-45 min. for lunch. The crew were never standing around waiting for instructions--they knew their jobs and were always busy getting it done. Because of this what could have taken about 5 days only took 3 and a half days! Quality of the work was excellent. Maybe more important than the diligence and quality of work was the effort and care that was taken to prep and then clean my house and furnishing both before and after the work was complete. (Remember that texture removal and application is very messy and leaves a powdery dust on nearly everything.) They took such care that my home looked like a scene from "Dexter"(from Netflix) with every room and object covered in plastic.
Yes this was an excellent experience. As far as price--I received another quote from an Angie's List (top ten) provider that was nearly twice as much--FYI.

"After my initial 99.00 painting for 1 room, I asked Mr. Ramirez for an estimate to paint my 2 bathrooms, which had wallpaper. Mr. Ramirez provided me a very reasonable quote, thus we set a date for the job. Mr. Ramirez arrived with a fellow painter and proceeded to remove the wallpaper from 1 bathroom, and the other bathroom was Kiltz primed. Mr. Ramirez and his helper removed all the fixtures, mirrors, and expertly covered all exposed areas. Day one was completed with wallpaper removed on one bathroom and textured, the other bathroom was primed and textured. Day 2, Mr. Ramirez arrived with 2 helpers. Mr Ramirez proceeded to cover the work area where he was to repair the ceiling crack while his helpers painted the ceiling of the 2 bathrooms and proceeded to primer in preparation to paint. Michael Ramirez and his helpers know what they are doing and very professional in their approach to their craft. I would highly recommend A C L Painting and will definitely use them again."

"The smooth operations started with assigning a project manager, foreman and crew to conduct the following tasks. Kitchen Remodeling: The furr down kitchen ceiling was removed, along with the boxed florescent lighting. The ceiling was raised and recessed lights were installed. Their certified plumber changed the pipes in the ceiling and installed new dual sinks, garbage disposal and a goose neck faucet. Their certified electrician installed electrical wiring in the ceiling to accommodate pendant lights over the bar and installed numerous new electrical outlets in the kitchen and breakfast nook. Seven kitchen drawers and twenty-nine kitchen cabinet doors were removed and refinished and they changed one to a glass door to accommodate a new three shelf wine cabinet. The pantry was redesigned to accommodate a built-in microwave space. Crown molding was installed in both the kitchen and breakfast nook. A beautiful crystal chandelier was installed in the breakfast nook. Old lighting over the kitchen sink was replaced with an LED strip light fixture. A pony bar was removed and replaced with a flat counter top. Cape Cod Beadboard was installed at the base walls of the bar. Formica counters were replaced with granite counters. The wooden window base boards were replaced with matching granite. Travertine tile, along with a complimentary travertine/glass trimming, was used for the backsplash. Thr ceramic tile floor was replaced with ceramic wood plank tile. All the kitchen knobs were replaced with pewter color knobs to match the bar pendants and breakfast chandelier. The finished product resembles an off-white color English kitchen. Ramp installed: A ramp was installed from the kitchen area to the washroom. The old ceramic tile was replaced with the same ceramic wood plank tile to match the kitchen. The step down from the kitchen to the wash room had caused me to break several toes. Since they were working in the wash room, they replaced the washer faucet and lint hosing. Back Porch; The weight of the roof to the patio had caused the three columns to lean. Additionally the weather had caused some of the base on the columns to deteriorate. The columns were modified by adding additional supporting brackets. The brackets were customized to match the existing colonial appearance. The bases of the three columns were also modified by replacing the weak or decayed wood with new material. The patio was repainted. Professionalism and Craftsmanship: From day one, the staff worked diligently. As a retired executive, I am aware of the issues that arise with staff which can easily cause delay in the most well planned projects. I am delighted to report however that this team of professionals were committed to complete the project on time and it was evident by their daily punctuality. I was very impressed with their integrity and knew the entire duration of the project that they could be trusted. As for their craftsmanship, it is evident that these tenured workers took pride in their work. Every detail was entertained and no shortcuts were taken. Before they left each day, they cleaned, sswept and mopped. They hauled away the debrise, ensuring that the kitchen was as functional as possible. The professional skill set of the carpenters, floor, and masonry installers, and granite installers is reflected in my beautiful kitchen. However, the expectations were set by the owner of Tone Homes. Additionally, Johnny Red was in charge of managing the daily activities of the entire project, supplying the required materials and coordinating the scheduling of the various team specialists and supervising the staff. It was indeed a pleasure and an honor to have had a team of honest experts work on the renovation of my kitchen. At the end of the day, I established a set of new friends that work for a company that delivers high level workmanship. I can honestly say that my kitchen looks like something out of a magazine and while I am enjoying it everyday, I have fond memories of the individuals that made it all come true.

"We had partial removed the old wall paper but had problems with it tearing up the drywall. We also had a ceiling area that had water damage from the air conditioner overflow. He repaired the damaged drywall and ceiling areas and then applied texture to all the walls. Finished the job quickly and did an excellent job at cleaning up the work area. Very reasonable and professional.

Hiring a professional wallpaper remover is almost always worthwhile. Although the work is more expensive due to labor costs, doing it yourself is extremely time-consuming, complicated, and easy to make mistakes and wreak havoc on your walls, regardless of the tools you use. Professional wallpaper removers have the tools and experience to get old wallpaper down quickly and without damaging the walls behind it.
Removing wallpaper can be easy if you have a non-coated wallpaper, but most homeowners have vinyl-coated wallpaper, which is more durable but tears very easily during the removal process. This feature makes it challenging and time-consuming to remove most wallpaper. There are tools to speed up the process, like steamers, but, unfortunately, it’s easy to permanently damage your walls when using them. In most cases, it’s best to hire a professional wallpaper remover to get the job done quickly and without damaging your home.
In most cases, you cannot wallpaper over existing wallpaper. It’s possible to wallpaper over non-coated wallpaper, but vinyl-coated wallpaper is much more prevalent in homes, so you generally shouldn’t put new wallpaper over existing wallpaper. Adding a layer of wallpaper over vinyl-coated paper will lead to poor adhesion, leaving behind bubbles and imperfections in your wall. Plus, wallpapering over vinyl-coated wallpaper can lead to mold growth, which can be hazardous to your health. It’s usually best to hire a local wallpaper removal service to handle the task to avoid these issues.
The average cost to remove wallpaper is around $3 per square foot, but the total depends on the type of wallpaper, how easy it is to remove, and the size of the room. Most homeowners spend around $780 per room for wallpaper removal, and prices typically fall between $200 and $2,000. Wallpaper removal is expensive because it tends to be a very time-consuming job, and it can sometimes take a full day or more for the work to complete.
The easiest way to remove wallpaper is to use a steamer. The hot steam will loosen the wallpaper paste and make peeling the wallpaper off in large sheets much easier. Unfortunately, steamers can create irreparable damage on your walls, so it’s not a good idea for DIYers to use steamers to remove wallpaper. Instead, hire a professional wallpaper remover to do the work for you. This method will not only speed up the process, but it will also ensure your walls will remain intact post-wallpapering.
