"Very fair pricing, Honest and dependable. I am thoroughly pleased with the foam insulation job Jason did on my new metal storage shed. He maintains great contact and takes great pride in the job he does to insure customer satisfaction. "It was fine.  It was great.  I didn't pay extra for the check but they found a few things wrong, so after that I did pay more.  Two people came to complete the service.  It took about 2 hours because we have 3 furnaces.  They left the area perfectly clean when done.  Everything was fine.  It was all satisfactory to me."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

You don’t need to staple insulation, as your drywall and studs will hold it into place. But if you already have a staple gun and staples lying around, it can help keep the product in place and avoid any shifting. But, most experts agree it’s an unnecessary step.

If you’re adding a vapor barrier, you will need to staple that in place.

Whether you should remove old insulation before blowing in new insulation depends on your particular situation. Fiberglass insulation attracts insects and mold over time, so if it has been decades since your last insulation upgrade, consider removing the old materials before placing the new ones. However, most types resist mold, insects, and mildew, so once you get the go-ahead from your contractor that your space is free from all three, feel free to install the new insulation directly on top of the pre-existing materials.

Canned spray foam has an R-value of R-3.7 per inch. However, it’s not great for use as insulation. Also known as single-component spray foam, it doesn’t expand as much as two-part types that work for insulating the whole house. Save the canned foam for gaps around doors and windows.

All garage doors, particularly newly installed models, add value to your home. Higher-quality and higher-priced doors increase the ROI, so a well-insulated custom garage door increases the value of your home more than a poorly-insulated stock model. Updating a garage door boasts the second-highest home improvement ROI, at nearly 95%.

Cellular shades, also known as honeycomb shades, are the most energy-efficient and insulating window treatments. Their honeycomb structure is made of soft fabric that forms layered cell pockets. These pockets trap air, creating a thermal barrier that reduces heat loss in the winter and blocks heat gain in the summer. For even greater insulation, consider double- or triple-cell varieties. Side-tracked cellular shades, which seal the edges of the window frame, can further minimize air leaks and maximize energy efficiency.
