"First, the water specialists (Bionics) came out promptly, and after 10 days of demolition and drying the kitchen ($4800), we got 5 different quotes on repair of the loss. Frontier Services provided one of those quotes. 1. Scott Clarke provided an estimate based on business guidelines, and submitted them to our insurance company, USAA, because he had worked as an estimator in the past for this company. He knew exactly what to do. Estimate for repair was initially under $12,000, which was in my bank account within 1 day. Following reanalysis, all of the tile and countertop needed replacement because exact tile and countertop was not available (more than 25 years old), this eventually grew to $38,000, all of which was paid by insurance. We decided to upgrade. 2. Get Raoul for cabinetry. He is an expert for over 20 years in this business. Exacting, and flawless in construction. Matched existing cabinets perfectly. 3. Rudy Lopez is one of the nicest guys, who manages foremen in Frontier Services. He kept things in line, came out whenever there was a problem, and monitored all repairs throughout the entire process. He was a meticulous guide throughout, and was a painter for many years before his current job. He knew when the painting was not right, and was responsible for change estimates during the construction. We also had some construction and painting of cabinets in our den at the same time, which was an additional expense, but we were advised about all of this in advance and chose these upgrades. 3. Alex was the very personable foreman who ran the entire operation. Service is his middle name. He was here almost every day, especially when the project began, and he reviewed the work with us, always checking into details. No job goes perfectly, and Alex was always willing to go an extra step to "fix" what had to be done. He also has a lot of experience in construction, especially tile and granite work. He helped us pick out granite, which we love, and the backsplash. He was never short with us, and always helpful. 4. Melissa Idarraga was the head painter. She was incredible. She and her team knew what was needed, and "the girls" are at the top of our list of favorites. Of all the work, it became clear that having a great paint job ties down the rest of the materials, and stabilizes the entire process. Following this, she is doing other painting for us; she is our "go-to" from now on. 5. All of the rest of Alex's team were professional: the granite installation is amazing, requiring 3 slabs, the new undercounter sink perfect. Special comment is due to one of the men who replaced floor tile that was damaged during removal of the sink; I still had some of the old tile in my garage, and he was able to replace that tile with expert technique. "I do not recommend Lintblasters. Robert and Chris didn’t do what we paid them to do, and wouldn’t come back to make it right or give us a refund. Also, Robert texted me three screens of rants after I explicitly asked him not to contact me again. TL;DR below. They spent about thirty minutes at our house. Robert worked in the house, while Chris went on the roof to clear the dryer vent from the top down. At one point, Robert thought one of the vents was crushed at a joint, as one of guys was having problems getting their brushes through. Robert went in the attic, found two pieces of pipe that he said were “disconnected” and taped the joint. He told me that the dryer would dry a lot quicker now and they left. Subsequently, our dryer took over twice as long to dry a load. My husband pulled the dryer out from the wall to make sure the flexible hose to the wall wasn’t crushed and then I called Robert while my husband kept investigating. When I told Robert our dryer was working worse than before he got super defensive. He claimed he told me a bunch of things that he hadn’t, so I sent him some pictures from behind the wall. He agreed to come back, but then backed out, claiming we had a severe builder’s defect because the pipe doesn’t come all the way down inside the wall to connect to the dryer. (It only extends through the ceiling.) My husband removed the tape between the two pieces in the attic and ceiling and they were completely full of lint. I texted him a picture of one of the lint-filled pipes, asked for a refund, and to not contact me otherwise. This is when I got the three screens of ranty response. We think Chris cleaned out the furnace pipe by mistake, but who knows? My husband took the pipes into the garage and cleaned them out himself. I advise you to not trust these guys the way I did."

Move in date given of 3/4. 2/28 no kitchen/bath counter tops Painting incomplete, no blinds, toilets, gas and electrical no connection due to incomplete work. Brian Boone called and states that the agreed quartz and fireplace (12/29) will not be installed unless I pay an additional 12K. ALL monies, including the 35K contingency, except the final 10% which, by law, cannot be billed until the work is completed, have already been paid out. He said no more work will be done unless I dish out more money! After hours of stressful communication, I agreed to pay an additional 5K and buy the quartz myself (documented). ALL I WANTED WAS MY HOUSE TO BE COMPLETED!! After money was paid (via QB, like all invoices) some contractors showed up the following day. I moved in on 3\9 with no heat or hot water and a gas leak!! There have been ongoing issues with A/C, plumbing and electrical. On December 29th, 2021, I emailed Nicholas an items credit list as per our conversation of August 25th. He confirmed this in his response. To date there has been no credit. All invoices received by Boone via email has been paid with a day's notice via QuickBooks. I have been waiting for the works completion and then the final invoice with the credits. 11/3 I received from USPS a “Notice of Filed Lien”. To date I’ve never received the final 10% invoice from Boone, neither by mail nor via email/QuickBooks since it’s illegal to collect on incomplete job. I email Nicholas on 7/25 and 8/22 about the incomplete work and breach of contract there was no word of an outstanding invoice, simply because there could be no invoice since the work is incomplete and I have not signed off on this project. Still no functioning tub in master. many doors without knobs, unfinished baseboard, unfinished attic, not right office door, unfinished garage and on and on. Our charge is $45 per hour for Tech and $20 for helper. Will travel. Two men at least on the job to complete the task quicker. Most jobs we like to bid so you have a clear idea at the start what your cost is. On occasion by the hour is necessary on projects that have a lot of unknowns. Payment is 50% up front and 50% at completion in most cases. All material money in advance or you supply all material to be on site at the beginning of the job.
