They first replaced the joist ends, and then they tried to level the house. However, they were not able to level it. They said, due to the way the house was built, it could not be leveled. Since they were not able to level the house, I requested a refund of $2,000. I didn't dispute the $1,200 since they did replace the joists (to my knowledge). However, since they did not level the house, then I requested the house-leveling fee of $2,000 to be refunded. I e-mailed them this request on 8/2/2015, but I have not heard from them. We have been in our house now for 5 years and we are having to replace the carpet. Both the carpet pad and carpet were really poor quality for the price that was paid and what was represented. The installation of the carpet was not done properly and it has never laid right nor looked right. We had them come out to stretch the carpet only to find out that the backing on the carpet had come loose which then caused them not to be able to stretch it back into place. The pad has already broken down in traffic areas giving a feeling of walking on concrete. The floor was not completely floated/leveled before the wood floors were installed and the floor does not lay evenly. The service that our sales associate gave us was terrific upfront but the way the flooring has broke down I would have thought they would have taken care of me as I am a customer that has referred business to them as well as a past client to the store. The prior store had told me that I should not put down a tile floor as I have what is called "soft crete" or light weight concrete but I talked to Matt and he assured me that they could install ceramic plank flooring with no problem and it would look great. He told me about the install process and the installers would put down a hardy board and clips around all planks to ensure that the planks would be level. I felt really good and paid for the floor install and the installers came out as promised. They removed the existing floor and I was very surprised that they installed new tile in the living room the same day. My flooring is very old and extremely uneven so I thought the company would put something down to get the floor flat. There is a difference between flat and level and I can assure you that before you put down a new floor you must have the floor flat. What is flat? In builder terms, a flat floor does not change over 1/4 inch over 10 ft. After the workers finished, I got a call from on the workers and he asked me where to leave the key. I was shocked. How unprofessional, a person from the company should have met me when the job was finished and we both looked at the floor and ensured I was satisfied. The floor was extremely dirty and the grout color was terrible and tiles were unlevel in a lot of places. It was the sloppiest job I have ever seen. I called Matt back and expressed my displeasure and he told me that Jeff would get with me and fix any problems. Jeff came out and he agreed on what needed to be done. Workers came back out and did their job. Wow. Their were over 30 spots that the grout color was not applied. How sloppy is that. I paid a lot of money for this floor and this is the worst floor experience of my life. When I called back and another worker came out to fix the grout color problem, she could not even talk to me in my native language which is English, so I could not discuss with her the problems with the floor. Worst floor experience of my life. I wrote back and forth with Jose Perez. He seemed pretty straight forward, and gave me a good price. He sent out his son Marcus to take a look at the job. He showed and took measurements. I did a little more research on the company before hiring them. They had good feedback on Angie's List, and I saw they were in good standings with the BBB .I went ahead and told them I wanted to do the work. I was a little surprised when they said they could do it tomorrow since everyone else that gave me a quote was backed up 2-6 weeks. The day of the job Jose' s son Marcus showed around 9:00 AM with 5 workers. I was a little surprised that Jose was not there, since he is who I spoke with over the phone and via e-mail. I asked him where Jose was, and he explained to me that his dad was disabled. He said he does not work with them on jobs. I asked for a contract containing terms, and warranty info from him the previous evening. I was told that he would have one the next day at the job. There wasn't one.... During the course oft the day I saw that they were not doweling my pool like we discussed. I also saw that they were not forming any joint's. I asked Marcus where are the joints. He said oh I was just going to put in hand joints. I told him I needed to have joints in the pool deck. So I asked him to add them every 10-12 ft. After measuring later I discovered that he added them every 16ft, and in one spot 30 ft. Later on during the day Marcus began stamping my porch with a helper. They were suppose to use a texture mat. They tossed that out after the first few stamps. They seemed to have a hard time lining up the stamp. There were several spots were the stamp was relaid leaving a double stamp. I put a few pictures of it below. There were also ridges in between the stamps.. These could have been tooled out, but they left them. They also splashed concrete all over my walls, and did not bother to wash it off. I spent 3 hours trying to scrape up the dried concrete. I ended up just having to repaint the walls. All they had to do was wash off the walls while the concrete was wet. If you look in the pictures you can also see how crooked there forms were on my patio. They were also suppose to cut out a section of my patio 3'x3'. They asked to borrow my jack hammer, and then ended up telling me that they didn't charge me for that so it was going to be extra. AHHHH. They left trash all over my yard, and left form board nails all in my yard. My kids could have stepped on them. Skip to 1 week later. I already have a big crack in the sidewalk around the pool. Then I got another one 3 weeks later. This one was big enough to fit a quarter in. That's 2 cracks within the first month. I forgot to write about the water standing. t I have enclosed pictures of that here as well. I have water standing in several places, because they did not use a level to slope the concrete. I could go on but just look at the pictures."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/missouri-city/perez-discount-concrete-work-reviews-7375155.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Bonilla Foundation Repair","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Jim T."},"reviewBody":"We have not selected a contractor for leveling yet, but Bonilla is on the short list. We hired Honesty Foundation to level our house. The price we were given was $2,000, which we paid. They started working on the house leveling, but one of the workers noticed that 8 of the joists were crushed on the ends, so he said that the joist ends needed to be replaced. This work would...

"Horrible! I wish I could give this NO STARS! Naji the head contractor basically left the employees that did not speak any English, did not inspect the work and took no accountability for the actions. The workers tripped a circuit that controlled the outside plugs and garage outlets, which caused my freezer in the garage to go out. No one alerted me instead used the neighbors outside plug to continue their work. This was not discovered until I went to prepare for a catering contracted event. I own a small catering business and everything in my freezer spoiled because no one alerted me of the tripped plug. I checked on them and no one made any reference to an issue. I discovered this when I went to prepare for an event. The work was also poorly done. I have videos as well as the neighbors testimony. I lost a client and paid more for breech of contract and the poorly done work. I was offered $150 for my trouble. I lost over 9000 including the amount paid for this poorly done work. Not to mention my business reputation. Do not recommend for anyone. Find another company."

FAQs for concrete leveling projects in Highlands, TX
Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.
The average cost of mudjacking is around $5per square foot of concrete, with most concrete leveling jobs totaling between $3 and $8per square foot. The typical cost to fix a sinking portion of concrete slab with mudjacking is around $1,100. The price you’ll pay depends on the size of the concrete slab you need to be leveled, the accessibility of the slab, and the type of material your contractor uses beneath the concrete to lift it back into place.
In most cases, no, mudjacking is not possible as a DIY job. Not only do you need specialized equipment to cut into your slab and pump the cementitious material underneath it, but it’s also a challenging process, and the consequences of making mistakes include additional structural damage to your home. It’s possible to rent mudjacking equipment to attempt a DIY repair, but the risk of added property damage usually isn’t worth the money you’ll save on labor, especially if the concrete you’re lifting is a part of your home’s foundation.
