"LTC Brick and Stone created a beautiful fireplace for me. Everyone who sees it takes a moment to just stand and appreciate how pretty it is. The best part, though, of working with LTC Brick and Stone was the people. They were friendly and kind, and thoroughly professional. Rare today! If I could, I would add fireplaces in every room, just to see what else they would create! A wonderful company to work with, I would recommend them in an instant."

"Our Cabinet crew was there for most of the install and they said that it went well.  There was one mistake on the bar runner piece, did not cut it right the first time around and ended up having to go all the way back to their shop to have a new one made.  It worked out okay, just ate up time, but the whole day was free, so not a big deal....they took care of it, and made sure it was done correctly.
They used a vacuum level to seem the one joint we had,  the line is good, as unnoticeable as it can be.  Cut outs for cook top and under-mount sink are good.  The sink cutout is not 110 perfectly plumb all the way around, but i am overly detailed oriented engineer...friends say everything looks awesome and it does....and most importantly, wife is happy.
Solid stone front end staff is good, price is great, helped us work through the process quickly and easily.
We are happy with the way that our re-model turned out.

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

A chimney liner is a good thing to invest in regardless of if you have issues or not. Chimney liners increase the safety of your fireplace. Without a chimney liner, the gasses that get emitted during burning could eventually damage the masonry and create a major fire hazard in your home.

Chimney caps are necessary both from a building safety standpoint in most municipalities and to keep your home protected from a variety of issues. Chimney caps are not only mandated by building code in most areas, but they also serve to keep squirrels, raccoons, and other pests out of your home, as well as snow and rain. Therefore, they help to avoid property damage, making them a worthwhile investment.

A chimney cap costs about $300 on average to install, with prices ranging from $75 to $1,000. The final cost depends on several factors, including the professional you hire, the accessibility of your chimney, the cap's material and size, whether any repairs are needed, and if it requires custom fabrication. Chimney caps are usually made from galvanized steel, stainless steel, or copper. Copper caps are the most expensive, followed by stainless steel and then galvanized steel. Excluding labor, average material costs are around $100 for galvanized steel, $250 for stainless steel, and $600 for copper. You may also face additional costs, such as hiring a chimney sweep to clean the chimney before the cap is installed.

If there’s a draft within your fireplace, it can lead to a weakening of its flame. And when the fire burns the wood, it won’t burn effectively, resulting in a build up of soot and smoke. If you notice this happening, you’ll want to inspect the glass to see where the draft is getting in. You can also hire a fireplace repair pro to do the work for you.

You can find replacement stove parts for popular brands at local hardware stores or major retailers. However, you might find the best deal by directly buying online from the manufacturer. While there are some universal parts, the manufacturer can also help you find parts that are specific to your stove’s make and model.
