Customers say: True professional

"it's a bit pricey, but if my trees are saved it'll be worth every penny. Dr. Bob was incredibly nice and he knows his stuff. After 45 years in the business I would hope he does. Another plus? He didn't treat my questions as if I were stupid. They drove from Dallas TX to my home in deep east TX a drive of over 4 hours and that was all in one day. I would definitely recommend B&W Insect control and tree service!"

"Benitez Tree and Shrub Service came and gave me a good estimate for my trees to be removed. They came the next day and had the whole service done before I got home from work. I’m happy with the results and would use them again. Highly recommend!"

"Eagle Jaimes is a company that I, will hire over and over without hesitation. This company was so on time from the time that I received my estimate for the job and service required of them. I talk to Mr. Cesar and everything that I need it done plus more was done. (eg) , the crew was on time for the service required, the crew were very friendly and courteous. The job was done very carefully and in a safety environment that nothing was broken, damaged or missing. This crew cleared and cleaned the area of my yard like nothing happened before. Very responsible, attentive to details and very professional in the use of the safety. I will recommend this company Eagle Jaimes to do the job that any customers need any time. Very happy and satisfied with the service that this company provided for me and my family.?⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Not every arborist climbs trees, but most will do so if that’s the best method for assessing or treating a tree. Arborists have a variety of tree climbing gear and safety equipment to choose from when climbing trees. Consult your local arborist about their tree-climbing plan if your service requires that type of task.

Light-bark trees are most notorious for producing lots of sap when wounded. These varieties include maples, birches, poplars, dogwoods, magnolias, and elms, and they will bleed more when the trees are dormant. That’s why it’s a good idea to prune them in the summer months rather than waiting until winter.

It takes anywhere from three to seven years for a stump to decompose on its own. This timeframe can depend on the kind of tree and your climate. The lower to the ground the stump is, the faster it rots. If you kill a tree stump with salt, boiling water, herbicide, light deprivation, or burning, the tree stump decomposes faster.

Whether tree roots will continue to grow after a tree has been cut down depends on the species. Some tree roots will eventually die because they can no longer get nutrients through photosynthesis. However, other species that reproduce through root sprouts can continue to grow and produce new sprouts for seven years or more. For example, the roots of elms, ficus, and willows tend to regrow aggressively, while the roots of pines, oaks, and maples will typically die. To determine if a root system is still active, look for new sprouts on the old trunk, stump, or any exposed roots.

Once you confirm a tree is dead, you should remove it. Dead trees eventually fall, and larger trees in particular can cause damage to rooftops, fencing, flowers, and other objects. As we mentioned, letting decayed wood stay in your yard also invites risks to the surrounding landscaping and vegetation.
