In the next hour, the hot and cold water pipes were stubbed out at the right height for the shower fixture and a T was inserted into the water supply for the vanity in the master bathroom. There is no outside faucet on the north side of the house, and it requires 150' of hose to reach it from the closest faucet. While the wall was opened it was an optimal time to provide an external water supply. The guys with Plumbtegrity did not have a bib with them to put on to the faucet, and did not want to use the one I had, so they told me they would swing back by the house in a couple of days to attach one. I paid the bill in full and waited to hear back about when the outside faucet would be finished. As I was planning to call Plumbtegrity to do more work on the master bathroom when we were ready to set the tub and install the sinks, I was not in too much of a rush for them to get back to me. Finally, though, it became inconvenient not to have the outside faucet working, so I called them. Also, there is a hot water recirculating pump installed in this house and the hot water loop end point that controls sending the hot water back through the pipes attached at this vanity fittings. Here is an explanation of how it works: Passive hot water recirculation systems work well and are energy efficient; they can cost approximately $500 to $700, including installation. There are two different types of passive systems. One is the Grundfos Comfort Series, which involves an electric pump that is placed on the hot water heater outlet, pressurizing your hot water system to 3 to 4 psi (pounds per square inch). The Grundfos system enables you to install a bypass valve at remote locations where necessary (at the kitchen or vanity sink, for example). The bypass valve bleeds some hot water into the cold water system periodically to maintain the hot water at a level that most customers would be happy with. The benefit to this system is that it can be retrofitted after the sheetrock is up. The downside is that some people notice that their cold water initially can come out a little warm.
http://greenhomeguide.com/askapro/question/do-hot-water-recirculation-systems-work-what-kind-would-you-recommend After having the pipe added so that an outside faucet could have a water supply, the hot water recirculation pump no longer worked properly. When I contacted Plumbtegrity about the bib for the faucet, I mentioned this to them. The same two guys who had done the work the first time returned to attached the bib and examine the hot water recirculation pump. After noting that it was on, one of them called Jimmy and discussed the situation. I tried to explain how the bypass valve is designed to work but I was assured that it was installed the same way as it was before the T for the outside faucet was added. Plumbtegrity also insured me that nothing they had done had compromised the functioning of the hot water recirculation pump. I told them we would leave it for right now and see about fixing it when the sink for the vanity was installed. The guys installed the bib on the outside faucet and left. A few days later I received a call from Plumbtegrity asking me to pay an additional $90 for installation of the faucet bib. This was on top of the $392 I had already paid for the 1 1/2 hours they were there the first time. Shortly after that I went out and attached a garden hose to the new outside faucet and found the hot water that is no longer circulated through the house. The hot water has now been routed to the outside faucet where it is wasted on the plants. They do not do what they say they will do and they do not even try to resolve a problem when the mistake was theirs. I had a very good experience when I worked with a salesman and selected all of my products. I ordered very good quality brands (Grohe, Toto, etc.). At the time of purchase I asked if they deliver and the answer was yes. Not true. When my project was ready to begin I called my salesman I found out he had been fired. i talked to another salesman named Dustin who told me that they will not deliver. So my husband and I had to make multiple trips in a borrowed vehicle to pick everything up.
But that was minor. When my project started we found that the salesman had ordered a retrofit Grohe shower system (total cost $553.97) which could only be used if you have an existing Grohe shower -- which of course I don't have. When I called and asked how long it would take to swap it out with something I could use, Dustin very bluntly said that there wasn't anything they could do about it. Even though the mistake was admittedly theirs, I had to eat the cost -- $554. I asked to speak to the owner and of course he wasn't there. When I asked for his name, Dustin couldn't (wouldn't) tell me. So I asked Dustin to please have him call me back. Imagine my surprise when he never called. I will never buy anything else at this store. Absolutely horrible customer service!!

The workmen were very messy and had no respect for our property. We are still cleaning up outside from the mess they made. From the outset I stressed that my husband had COPD and it was very important that care was taken to keep the work area sealed. That was never seriously addressed. The custom-made cabinetry did not happen. Instead I purchased ready-made vanity and wall cabinets. They are fine, but again there was a misunderstanding about shelving in the shower area. I will have to buy more cabinets or furniture for storage. I was not happy with placement of the sink in the toilet area, but was told "that's how it has to be". The design in the toilet area is quite awkward. Because of the placement of the toilet, the toilet paper holder impedes the door opening all the way. A niche for the paper, or better yet, better placement of the toilet would have solved that problem. There is a lot of "dead space", so I will buy a cabinet or shelving. They neglected to add a new vent for heating and air conditioning in the shower and toilet areas. No one checked beforehand, but the design would not allow for the installation of the solar tube that I wanted. The shelves in the built-in niche were not measured properly, so will not hold the items I intended to put in there. We will hire someone else next spring to help address these flaws. If you want someone who can replace flooring, redo cabinets, a simple update, they are fine. The workmanship was good, but the lack of experience in design really shows. I would imagine if you had architectural plans in hand, they would be fine also. To be fair, the company did use a power washer to clean the cement where the workman used our driveway to mix concrete. However, our front porch is still a mess and there are large areas in the front garden where paint, cement, etc are still a problem. A cleaning woman (provided by the company) did come and worked at removing some of the dust in the master bedroom and the new master bath. I am still cleaning and dusting several times a day. They also offered to retrofit vents. By then, we were both just anxious not to have to deal with them, so said no. We would not recommend them for a full-blown redesign. I believe the company strives to offer a good product, but there needs to be much more listening to the customer and a higher level of supervision all through the process. I am sad to have an "almost" dream bath after spending so much money. "},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/austin/let-builders-reviews-6293618.htm"},"position":5}]}

"Nick and the gang at Red Beard far exceeded my expectations for this project!! The went above and beyond to ensure everything was done as described during the initial estimate meeting and then went above and beyond in several areas. They were easy to work with and treated my yard as if it was their own. I would not only highly recommend them for others, I am already putting together a list for another project and can't wait to have them back out."

"We had a simple plat process where we split one property into 2. We relied on A-1 to provide the service. Not only did it take 24 months to complete (yes you read that correctly), but we had to hound the team to get it done. Some of the delays were basic. Hays County had a checklist of requirements for electronic files, it took multiple rounds to get these corrected and added to the delay. That delay, because of price inflation, has cost me more than $12,000 in additional costs for septic components. Would not recommend, not even to my ex-wife."

"I worked with Andrew Bobst through a flood remediation process. And while he was extremely responsive & quick to come out to the house in the flood aftermath, the rest of the process was like pulling teeth. There was unclear communication about how long the dryers needed to run, promises of working with insurance, but to which I later became the middle man for payment. And most significantly, a tile that was ruined when the walls were taken out. I've spent 5 months trying to work with them to get them to replace this. And I've even offered to provide a replacement tile myself, if they'll just have someone come replace it. Unfortunately, despite countless followups, Andrew has not made the time to get this resolved. So I certainly won't be giving them my service again."

FAQs for earthquake retrofitting projects in Georgetown, TX
Most earthquake retrofitting jobs take one week to 10 business days to complete. However, your professional retrofitting expert will be able to give you a more accurate timeline for your home once you complete an initial consultation. The total time may be longer for projects requiring more extensive work or homes with structural damage due to a prior earthquake.
You can expect to pay between $3,370 and $8,610 in earthquake retrofit costs, ranging from $500 to $15,000 or more, depending on your type of home and foundation and retrofitting method.
If you have a slab foundation, you can expect to pay on the lower end, between $500 and $3,000. If you have a wooden foundation, that cost jumps to $5,000 to $10,000. A hillside home, not as vulnerable to earthquake damage, typically costs between $5,000 to $10,000 to retrofit while a soft-story home ranges from $10,000 to $80,000.
It is not advisable to try to retrofit your home without the expertise of a professional. These projects usually require a consultation with a structural engineer and a plumber for any gas-related adjustments. Working with a professional earthquake retrofitting contractor is the best way to ensure that any structural work done to your home will help protect you and your family.
First, you can expect the project to be loud. If you have pets, you might want to take them to a friend's house during the day so they are not disturbed by any of the loud noises. In addition, you’ll need to provide the retrofit team access to areas of the house that will need to be worked on, meaning you’ll need to relocate personal items, clear clutter, and make pathways for the crew. Once the project is complete, a local building inspector will conduct a final inspection to ensure that the retrofitting is up to code.
Earthquake retrofitting can increase your home value, making it a great return on investment. This feature is especially valuable in areas prone to earthquakes. Besides the increased safety value (not only for your family but for the next family who moves in), earthquake retrofitting also helps lower homeowners insurance rates. In addition, having your home earthquake retrofitted can make it easier to get a home loan since they are considered lower risk.
