We used Jim DeMeo to build our backyard swimming pool this summer. We are over the moon!! Jim is extremely responsive, was on site all the time managing the subcontractors, and was there at every turn to answer our questions. We had some unexpected challenges with permitting in the city we live in, but Jim helped us find creative solutions so that we could still have an environment that we are beyond pleased with. From providing references, taking us on a tour of pools that he has finished in our area, respecting our budget and providing suggestions to fit within it, and answering all of our first time pool owner questions, Jim did everything with a smile and extremely thoroughly. We have already recommended him to our family and friends, & will continue to do so to anyone who asks. Shopping local instead of with a big pool building company led to a very personalized experience that we would do again in a heart beat!

How many times have you heard horror stories from friends/family/acquaintances when they built their pool...it took six months, they didn't finish "x", they always no call no showed and always late....most of the time, right? Rarely if ever do you hear of a pool build being flawless, finishing early, always being in the "know" with constant status updates, a pool builder that always answers his phone, replies to text messages within minutes, drops virtually everything to take care of an item no matter how big or small and never pushing those extra water falls, the multi-colored lights and junk you didn't ask for. Well, I'm writing this as I look at my new pool built by Jim DeMeo (just finished) checking all of those positive experience boxes. My pool would have been finished inside of 4 weeks had Mother Nature not decided to dump two weeks worth of rain and cold weather on us. It was still ready to use inside of 5-6 weeks. Jim is probably one of the most up front, honest people I've ever worked with in the construction industry (and we've done 4 remodel projects in the last 5 years). True, he's not a big company that can give you a cut rate price due to sheer volume, but he personally will be on the job every day when anything is being done. His subs respect him by the apparent high quality work they do and attention to detail. Sure you could pay slightly less, but ITs NOT WORTH IT. Trust me....if you're going to build a pool, hire Jim and don't look back or second guess your decision (because you wont have to). It's to the point where I plan to stay in touch with the guy because I consider him a friend of the family now....he's Mr. Jim to the kids.

Jim at Demeo Custom pools was wonderful to work with. He was on the job site every day and his subs were great. He communicated with us daily on the plans for the following day. The job was completed in less than 6 weeks and we are totally happy with the results. I highly recommend this company.

Jim totally listened to our desires and was very flexible in getting us exactly what we wanted. Not more and not less. He has also been very responsive after the installation in making tiny adjustments to get things "just right" for us. We couldn't be happier, it has made our backyard not only usable, but a haven of relaxation for us now. The landscaping he provided just put the icing on the cake and transformed our backyard totally and the prices were amazing compared to the many competitors we interviewed. Definitely, meet with Jim before you make any pool decisions. In our opinion, he does his best to make sure the process is great not only for us, but our neighbors as well! They have now hired him too because of his responsive nature in handling any concerns they had.

Affordable Luxury Pool-My husband and I did our research for our dream pool. We waited years in order to save enough money to pay cash. We consulted a handful of predominate pool builders, Cody, and Anthony Sylvan, and a few private luxury pool builders. Most of who were not willing to LISTEN to our ideas, and concerns. Then Jim Demeo answered our prayers. He came with 42 years in pool construction, and a prior 28 years in rebar construction in California that dealt with earthquakes, and making sure the construction was rock solid, literally! Very impressive resume. He was present daily throughout the whole process, and even after completion, continued to validate that the pool was functioning properly. He offers substantial discounts to military, and first responders. He was the only pool builder that we consulted with that provided a price list of every item that you might want or need. For some reason many other pool builders were hush, hush when asked, which I felt was a tactic to mislead us. When asked how long it would take to build our luxury custom pool, he answered 6-8 weeks, which was the exact time frame. The only regret I have with Jim Demeo Custom Pools and Spas is that we will not see him every day. He became a member of our family. Thank-you Jim Demeo for choosing to build our dream pool!

Jim DeMeo at DeMeo Custom Pools and Spas is the best. It started back in 2014. From the beginning of the bidding process to completion. We asked many questions and Jim was eager to answer AND answer without frustration or annoyance. Very knowledgable and is an excellent people person. The great thing about Jim is he knows all aspects of the pool building process. Throughout his career in the pool business Jim started doing rebar and concrete work - to eventually overseeing and establishing his own business. You won't find anyone more knowledgable, honest and dependable. He was there everyday of the building process. Jim is highly professional and goes above and beyond! DeMeo pools is competively prices!! In fact, I saved lots of $ with Jim! I can't say enough about this company! Don't think twice! What you see in Jim and his work is what you will get. 2 years later and he continues to answer any questions that comes up. He will come to my home to help me with any problem! We really interviewed many providers and checked references. Jim DeMeo was the only one that truly seemed to listen to our desires and work on ways to make our ideas come to life. The others we interviewed, kept coming up with reasons for us not to do what we wanted to do. Usually they just gave us a big price to dissuade us from inquiring further. We are about to have installation begin and are so excited. Jim is keeping us informed on the status as we go so far.

It went really well. The project was on time and on budget. The workers arrived when Jim said they would and were all very nice and professional. The stone workers, in particular, are artists. Jim was always available and attentive when we had questions, concerns, or wanted to make changes. He also was very aware of our budget and kept our best interests in mind when buying equipment. Most of the time I felt like mine was the only project Jim was working on, even though I knew he had other projects on going.  This is one of the distinct advantages of going with a smaller contractor. Now that the pool has been in for about 6 months, I can also say that Jim has been available for questions and service after the sale.  I've picked up the phone several times and he always gets right back to me.  The pool and equipment are solid quality and I've had no issues whatsoever.

We had a really positive experience working with DeMeo Custom Pools and Spas and with the owner, Jim DeMeo, in particular.  I could not ask for a better and more engaged partner when going through this process and we highly recommend his Company's work.
As with any project, the beginning part where you are coming up with your ideas and trying to find someone to help can be a really confusing time.  Jim was really great during this process.  He seemed super knowledgeable, experienced and engaged and was happy to answer our many questions and give some great advice and recommendations.  I can also say that when you are interviewing different companies before you select a pool builder, we noticed that the larger pool companies tended to have some great presentations and slick proposals but likewise, this was in many cases a sales rep who seemed to be visiting us (along with a list of folks).  During this initial stage, we felt like Jim took a lot of care and time with us and we were happy to see that level of engagement continue once we got underway.
During the build process, Jim was great about letting us know what was going to take place.  He was here daily during the process making sure that his crews folks showed up on time and completed the job correctly.  All of the crews really did great work and again, we can't say enough about how involved Jim was in this whole process. He always let us know if there was an issue or conflict immediately and he always worked to address it and solve it quickly.  All in all our Pool Project ended up going rather quickly and smoothly and Jim's crews had all the work done and the yard back in shape just in time to have our families over for a get together. 
Again, we can't say enough about the honest, fair and constantly engaged approach that Jim took with us.  He was always happy to answer our many questions, he took a lot of time and care to make sure things got done right and he always kept us in the loop regarding what was going on and what would happen next.  I would be happy to highly recommend Jim to help with your pool building project.

Jim DeMeo did an exception job building our pool and spa.  We built a sport pool.  He was very competitive on price and worked with us on budget.  Jim took time to understand our design goals and provided guidance based on his vast past experience.  He's very knowledgeable and walked us through a lot of basic questions we had.  This was the first pool we built and we had a lot of questions.
We had 5+ quotes from all the large pool builders in the area.  We decided to go with Jim for several reasons.  First, he build a friend of ours pool and spa and they highly recommended him.  Second, he was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the pool building process, and took time to walk us through the pros and cons of our choices.  Lastly, he was upfront with pricing and timelines.  We didn't want any unwanted 'surprises' as we went through the process, which we didn't have any.
Jim was always on time and very accessible during the process.  He oversaw the entire project and made sure the work was top notch.  The work site was always very clean.
It was great having the same person that designed the pool part of the construction process. He made sure all of the custom items (baja reef, umbrella sleeve, bubblers, volleyball sleeves, etc..) were build as desired.
I would highly recommend Jim to anyone building a pool!
