They said that they would come within a month or 2 , but I have not heard from them, i keep on calling to get schedule, they said that they would just call me, I called a couple of times but I have never heard from them."

Plywood or solid wood are meant to last, and can handle the weight of several large items. If you want to spend a little more for a moisture-resistant material, you can consider using steel.
