"Once we settled on the work to be done, the project proceeded very nicely. The crew took a day longer than estimated; but, that wasn't a problem for us. The crew worked through one of the hottest days of 2018, incidentally. The workmanship was excellent. I needed additional ventilation in me attic, and Final Touch provided three solutions that have made what I think is a significant difference. Clean up was exceptional too. Final Touch is more expensive than the others, but they are worth the premium."

"Pros: customer service was good, painters were friendly, and the job was able to be scheduled quickly. Cons: price was high for the quality of work that was done (fair - not great but not terrible), paint quality appears to be low grade (flaking and thin), lots of personal clean up and retouching, had to call the guys back right after job to fix a bunch of stuff (overspray on roof and gutters, patch jobs, paint on tile and cabinets, etc.) and will probably have to call again."

Most parts of the wall will sound hollow, but when you tap over a stud, it will sound more solid. You’ll get better results if you soundproof the whole wall. A hole through which light can pass can also let sound waves in. Drywall can be installed directly on ceiling joists. In fact, this method is common in many construction projects. Drywall sheets are attached to the joists using screws, ensuring a secure and stable installation. Before attaching the drywall, it's important to mark the joist locations on the ceiling, allowing for accurate screw placement. Proper spacing between screws and careful taping and mudding of joints are crucial to creating a smooth and flawless ceiling surface. If the joists are in good condition and level, installing drywall directly on them is a practical and efficient approach.

You do not need to drywall over most types of garage insulation. However, doing so can increase noise reduction, make the space more attractive, and keep children and pets from touching harmful fiberglass insulation. If you’re using cellulose or some other type of blown-in insulation (fiberglass and mineral wool are common), you will need drywall to contain the insulation material.
