"The gentleman who provided the service for my driveway was Keith. He came all the way out from Ft Worth to Van Alstyne ( over an one hour drive) to discuss my situation. I had a dirt driveway that was not level and would retain water after a good rain. Keith was able to build the driveway up and level it. The finished product looks great. A very fair price for the quality of work. If you have any driveway needs I would give Keith a call. You will not be disappointed with their work."

"We recently had our garage remodeled, and it has completely changed how we use the space. The new layout includes plenty of storage and a workshop area. The team was efficient and skilled, completing the project on time. They were attentive to our needs and made sure everything was perfect. The garage now looks clean, organized, and is a much more functional space for our family. We are very happy with the results and would recommend their services for anyone looking to remodel their garage."

"Weâ d like to say the categories of this is not Fair to Texas Green Lead in regard to our project! We got several quotes or attempted to. This project was HUGE, we asked Gerardo to pour a driveway, build a shop pad with a massive retaining wall, erect a 30x50 metal shop, add a 22x20â patio extension extending the existing roof line. Gerardo performed phenominally! Our project took several months but from the start communication has been excellent! All concernâ s big or small was addressed. My Wife and I were hesitant at the beginning of our project but we can assure you, GERARDO and Texas Green Leaf are your top choice! From prepping, pouring and finishing the concrete work, erecting and welding the shop to building our patio extension along with the finish work. Our investment was in great hands! The best part that we appreciate is they take all projects regardless big or small and will segment them into phases! He completes one phase before starting the next which we greatly appreciate. Project management at its finest. If youâ re looking for a competitive price and solid contractor look no further!"

"We are very pleased with the work Foni and his team did to extend our driveway. They capped our sprinklers, removed a tree, and poured a new driveway/walkway on the side of the house. The project went well and smoothly and communication was outstanding."

"Listen folks, I got me an education about cutting down my trees. I just wanted them gone. But these professional guys that know there stuff advised me appropriately. I had know ideal how the process work an trimming are cutting down trees. They wasn't bother by me observing the process. I was amazed how the crew used equipment with ease. This technic come with experienced. And most of all they was affordable and reasonable. And gave me an deal all along the way. If it was any one else, like these large tree companies, I couldn't afford it. So it pays to hire the little guy, that dose big company work. And I give a big thumbs up for these guys. For a outstanding job, and will contact them in the future. If anyone ask me about who do trees and yard work. I will say "BSB CONCRETE & LANDSCAPING, RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL. "David quoted the job and we agreed on a fair price. He started and finished my brick project in less than hour and was very professional. He also fixed some other non related stone work without raising my price. I am having David quote on regrouting and sealing my Oklahoma flagstone that is around my pool later this summer."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Sometimes, when people talk about asphalt driveways, they’re actually referring to asphalt concrete, which is a completely different compound. Asphalt concrete is asphaltic cement combined with sand or grit. It is significantly more lasting and durable than regular asphalt but also much more expensive. If you’re considering using asphalt concrete, ask an asphalt company for their expert opinions.

Wet cutting is usually the preferred method. It controls dust, which helps protect your lungs and makes for a cleaner working environment. Plus, the water cools the blade, preventing overheating and prolonging its life while providing smoother, more precise cuts. The downside is the mess—water and asphalt sludge can be messy to clean. Dry cutting, though convenient if water isn’t available, creates a lot of dust, which can be harmful. This also increases the risk of blade damage due to overheating. So, if you have the option, wet cutting is the better method for most asphalt jobs.

Like all driveway materials, asphalt can crack in the wrong conditions and with age. Many things can cause asphalt to crack, including shifting soil or settling under the foundation. Other common causes are driving oversized vehicles on the asphalt, tree roots, and using rock salt during the snowy season. Proper installation and sealing the driveway every 10 years can help prevent cracks.

Driveway aprons typically range between four and seven inches thick, though your town's building codes will likely have specific requirements. Additionally, you may need to add a layer of permeable aggregate in the excavation below your paved apron to ensure proper stormwater drainage.

With proper maintenance, asphalt milling driveways can last 30 years or more. Over time, you’ll need to regularly sealcoat your driveway. You should also have your driveway inspected every few years and make any repairs as soon as they are necessary; this will prolong the lifespan of your driveway.
