"I never sacrifice integrity for gain". I have been in business since 1985, 30+ years. Quality workmanship at affordable prices. Specializing in Kitchen and Bathroom Remodeling. I am licensed, bonded, and insured. I am a General Contractor "B" and also hold a "C-33". Everything is done in house. I do most of the work myself. I do give free estimates. (619) 244-4163

"When I started my project I really wasn’t sure what I wanted except the old shower and bathtub gone and replaced with a walk-in shower and cabinet where the old shower was. Talking with Dan he started asking questions and suggested options. He was right on with what I wanted and didn’t realize. Took popcorn off ceiling, removed wallpaper, retextured walls, replaced old cabinets, tiled floor. He talked with me throughout the project on any problems that arose and answered questions I had as he proceeded through the project. They were very professional and cleaned up after each days work. I would recommend him and use him again in the future."

"5 Stars – Absolutely Outstanding Kitchen Remodel Experience with Max! We recently completed a full kitchen remodel, including a stunning quartz transformation for our island and countertops — and I can confidently say that working with Max was the best decision we made. From the very beginning, Max went above and beyond. He spent time with us, guided us through selecting the perfect stone at the warehouse, and made sure every choice aligned beautifully with our vision. What truly stood out was his deep knowledge and genuine care throughout the process — always advising us on what would work best and what to avoid, never rushing, always thoughtful. Once the project kicked off, Max was incredibly hands-on. He was there every day, closely supervising the work, ensuring everything met the highest standards. His crew mirrored his commitment — precise, professional, and clearly passionate about their craft. The final result? Absolutely stunning. Our kitchen came out better than we could have imagined — elegant, modern, and full of warmth. It has completely transformed our home. If you’re thinking about remodeling your kitchen, stop searching. Trust Max. He is truly one of the best in the industry, and it was a pleasure having him lead our project. Can’t recommend him enough!"

"What an amazing experience I had! I recommend Chellyanna to all my friends looking for a remodel or addition. Two things stood out which I think made Chellyanna stand out from the other contractors I have dealt with: 1) Timeliness- We showed Yossi around the house before we closed on our new home. The day after we closed they already started demo and never looked back. The stream of skilled workers never stopped coming until the project was done. Drywall, painting, plumbing, electric etc. were all done without delay. 2) Responsiveness - Yossi was always available to answer a call, tweak the project or answer our questions. We always felt that we had someone we could turn to and the entire process was extremely transparent. You will not be disappointed!"

"In August 2022, after hearing about DFW Improved on a home improvement radio show, we entered into two contracts with them for a roof replacement and interior water damage repair. These contracts were based on insurance-approved scopes following the 2021 ice storm. DFW Improved began the roof replacement project first. Following the replacement, the roof continued to leak due to their failure to replace the flashings. Despite corresponding work items in the insurance scope (confirmed later by the insurance adjuster's email), the DFW Improved salesperson insisted that flashing was not part of the roof. He threatened legal action if further payment was not made. Prior to this, they presented two identical model shingles as choices, which their own roof subcontractor on-site disclosed. Upon our inquiry via email, instead of addressing the issue, the salesperson accused us of defaming their company. Furthermore, they quoted $900 for a non-existent siding hole and estimated $25,000 for a bookcase, which their own designer valued at $6,000 to $7,000. While the roof leaking issue was still unresolved, DFW Improved began interior work. Instead of submitting the agreed supplement request as agreed, they skipped necessary steps to cut water-damaged drywall. To prevent wasted effort, we instructed workers to stop. The salesperson responded, stating that workers would not proceed with any work not approved by insurance. However, he emailed the insurance company claiming that the work had already been completed, causing significant confusion for us. During the halt period, we sent out numerous issues such as broken air pipes, cracked roof rafters, missing insulation, roof holes, missing felt paper, and a leaking roof. However, we received no response other than prevaricate explanations and demanding for money. We escalated to the DFW Improved upper manager who responded that they are their best team members and disregarded our request for an alternative project team. DFW Improved abandoned the projects and warranties, and initiated separation in December 2022. Both parties engaged in negotiations over separation costs. During this process, DFW Improved unexpectedly sent four individuals to our house, claiming to inspect texture work and demanding payment. Subsequently, DFW Improved placed a lien on our house, and their lawyer sent a demanding letter stating they would auction our house and (quote)“sue Vigorously” if payment was not made, despite the mediation/arbitration clause clearly outlined in the contracts. Under this pressure, we filed a claim in Tarrant County Small Claims Court, where the lien was placed. Later, their lawyer filed a motion to transfer the case to Collin County, where DFW Improved is based. We refused to comply with a demand for $5,000 and the confidentiality requirement during mediation. DFW Improved filed a new case simultaneously in the higher Tarrant County District Court, demanding a new amount of $59,845 and seeking to enforce the lien, providing no explanation for this amount. According to their co-owner's email, their accounting book calculated that we owed them a total of $1,260 (detailed below). During pre-mediation discussions, their lawyer attempted to justify their request for $8k, citing that a significant portion was allocated to attorneys' fees. We did not engage their lawyer to send us a threatening letter containing false statements about suing us without mediation. Their lawyer also declined $65 public mediator service provided by the Tarrant Small Claims Court. Additionally, they unilaterally escalated the dispute to a higher court. We have never been late with their payments. In fact, DFW Improved made a math error by crediting the blind work twice. When we brought this to their attention, DFW Improved spent extra time correcting the invoice, and their salesperson initiated an internal investigation. Any delay was certainly not caused by us. DFW Improved filed a lien attempting to collect the costs again, despite already receiving payment. We are uncertain about the extent and duration of the legal battle DFW Improved and their lawyer will continue to pursue. It has been nearly two years. We are uncertain about the extent and duration of the legal battle DFW Improved and their lawyer will continue to pursue. It has been nearly two years. Instead of assisting us with the aftermath of a natural disaster, DFW Improved attempted to extort money from us and our insurance provider. This has resulted in substantial legal fees, emotional stress, and significant delays in repairing our house, necessitating prolonged rental expenses. Despite our efforts to settle amicably, they persist in prolonging and escalating the dispute. This inci"

"The Expo home came out, and they installed a step-in shower for the family; their work was excellent. We worked with Da'Monte, Kawin, and John, and they were very professional. We would recommend them to anyone needing this type of service."

Owners, Monica and Wyatt Cox, with experience since 1994 in new construction and custom remodeling services. We collaborate with designer James Winters to make your remodeling project remarkable.

"They are by far the best! Crew always arrived on time and never left early. Explained everything that needed to be done and why. There were no hidden fees and no low cost estimates. They made sure everything they did was done correctly and made sure we approved. Wyatt and Monica came out at least once everyday to make sure the work being done was done right and made sure it was being done to our expectations. We have no complaints. Our new showers are fantastic!! We will gladly use this wonderful company again and we will recommend them to everyone we know looking to make renovations on their homes. We can not express our gratitude for the FANTASTIC job they did for us enough."

FAQs for kitchen and bathroom remodel projects in Farmers Branch, TX

The cost of home remodeling is $50,000 for the average homeowner. However, this cost can range anywhere from $3,000 for a small project to $170,000 for a whole home remodel. Factors like project size, location, and room type all affect your overall cost. For example, bedroom remodeling costs are one of the least expensive projects, costing about $1,500 to $5,500 per bedroom. However, a kitchen remodel has a significant cost range, totaling anywhere from $14,500 to over $70,000.

Yes, most states require home remodeling contractors to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed home remodeling contractor could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

The best time of year to remodel your home is late winter and early spring when fewer homeowners are thinking about projects and pros are more available. Also consider the type of remodel you want and plan ahead as much as possible. For example, the summer is a great time of year to update your fireplace, but winter is a better option for fixing foundations and building room additions.

There are a few things you can do to prepare for a home remodeling project to ensure a smooth construction process. Creating a detailed budget can help you stay on track, especially with the excitement of new construction or upgrades. It’s also beneficial to map out a remodeling timeline with your contractor to have clear expectations. In addition, you’ll want to prepare the space that will be worked on ahead of time—this could be tarping furniture or entirely removing belongings from the room.

Home renovation insurance, sometimes called “dwelling under renovation coverage” or “builder’s risk insurance,” helps financially cover any damages that occur during the home renovation process. While different from typical homeowners insurance, many homeowners insurance policies already include some sort of home renovation insurance or offer it as an additional add-on. While this insurance isn’t necessary for every home remodeling project, it’s best to contact your insurance company to verify if it’s needed and what your coverage options are.
