My experience with Fernando Castillo and his men was outstanding. First, he was responsive from the initial contact. We met to discuss the project and he promptly prepared an estimate that was fair and reasonable. We agreed upon a start date and time and he and his crew were right on time. I appreciated Fernando's reminder call the previous day.  He continued that courtesy with daily face to face meetings, telephone calls, or frequent texts.  Fernando's communication with me was excellent. 
 
The job encompassed some demolition, flooring installation, matching,refinishing, carpentry, electrical, grout and tile work. It was all done in a timely manner with no wasted motion, All members of Fernando's team were professional and really took pride in doing a good job. I will definitely use Fernando for future projects. I cannot recommend his services more highly.

We can't say enough good things about Fernando and his team of professionals!  They did a great job on the finish out of a 400 sf addition to our house, as we enclosed an attached garage.  Previously, we had the worst experience with two other contractors (not from Angie's List) and were desperate for good quality work and professionalism since we have a newborn at home and needed to get this project done. 

Fernando knocked it out on budget and right on schedule.  His bid was detailed and fair.  He and his crews were there on site every day for about 3 weeks, which was so nice when so many other contractors try and balance a bunch of jobs and show up every 4 days.  He would tell me what they are working on and then would execute it with a high degree of quality.  My wife was thrilled - and if she is happy, I am happy!  All of his guys seemed very capable.  We were particularly impressed with his carpenter - who made custom cabinets, a desk and a large bookshelf very quickly - all turned out great. 

We definitely plan on using Fernando again for future projects, and would highly recommend him to others.

Fernando was excellent.  His crews were always on time and did quality work.  As the scope of the project was much larger than just framing, we ended up using Fernando's contacts for kitchen and bar cabinets and other trades as well.

Mr Castillo and his crew did an amazing job.  He was responsive via text when I had questions.  His crew showed up on on time and finished when they said they would.  The cost was exactly what he quoted us - no hidden costs or addons at the end.  The bookshelf is fantastic, we had his carpenter match an existing bookshelf and it looks like it was built by the same person - exactly what we wanted.  The cabinet is also beautiful.  The electrician, granite guys, painters - everyone did excellent work.
Once we are done painting the house (DIY-style), we are going to call Mr. Castillo back to talk about the kitchen.  Definitely going to use his company again and would recommend it highly to others.

Mr. Castillo is very visionary and was instrumental in the shaping of the initial project design.  He has wonderful ideas and is extremely enthusiastic and passionate about his work.  He is very communicative and responsive and informs us at all times the status of the project and what to expect.  The quality of the work is excellent and we are extremely pleased with the outcomes of both projects he did for us.  The master suite is not quite finished but we are down to the finishes and everything to this point is in order and gorgeous.  The project called for several inspections for framing, electrical, plumbing, heat and air.  The framers did a magnificent job and and had the structure up and protected in two weeks.  All inspections have been passed with hardly any issues.
My husband and I would highly recommend Mr. Castillo to anyone embarking upon a remodeling project.  He listens and is very responsive to the customer's needs.  Although we did not take other bids for this project his pricing on our previous project was very competitive as I did take a couple of other bids.  It was a fairly big project but it is nearing completion. I would not hesitate to use him for other projects.  We love working with Mr. Castillo!

Fernando showed up on time for the estimate appointment, asked detailed questions, and took measurements. (I had one contractor not do this and my estimate was given as "between 8 and 20k dollars...). We changed our minds on a few details and he adjusted the estimate easily with no hassles. Once we agreed he scheduled the work to begin and pretty much stuck to the game plan. He said it would take a week or so and it actually took them about two weeks not including a weekend he had to go out of town. But I was always made aware if the scheduling, and any questions or concerns I had were answered and addressed quickly and assuredly. The garage came out great (my hubby's new gym) and the carport is beyond what I was expecting! I would recommend them 100%!

I enjoyed working with Fernando and recommend him to everyone I talk to in need of home remodel work. He was responsive, professional and fair. The work required 3 weeks, and due to a number of factors, I needed him to get started the day after I took possession. Fernando was the only contractor that committed to starting the day I requested. He never took advantage of add-ons. When things popped up outside the scope of the original bid, Fernando would generate a quote, email it to me, discuss the components with me and wait for my approval before proceeding with the work. I highly recommend Fernando for all home remodel work.

.While there were delays on when the work can start, everything went ok.  However, after the work was done, I realized that I was not satisfied with the new toilet I had Mr. Castillo's crew installed.  That new Glacier Bay dual flush toilet was not practical for my elderly mother who has arthritis on her hands.  So, I contacted Home Depot and had HD install a new toilet.  After Home Depot Installed my new toilet, I realized that Mr. Castillo's painters failed to paint/texture the entire wall.  Seems that the only place they failed to paint was behind the toilet tank.  Now that Home Depot installed my new American Standard toilet which has a smaller tank, shows the areas that were not texture/painted by Mr. Castillo's painters.  Around 8/22/13 I emailed Mr. Castillo about this problem and he replied to me that he will check if he can send a painter next week.  I never heard from him nor from his painter after 1 week.  Shortly a few weeks later, 1 of my parents passed away.  I had to help my surviving parent with arrangements on many things.  On 10/24/13 I sent another email to follow up with Mr. Castillo.  Mr. Castillo failed to reply to this email.  On 11/14/13 I sent out another email to Mr. Castillo.  He replied that same day that he "forgot about it".  He stated that he will send someone to fix it by Tuesday 11/19.  On 11/19/13 I took time off from work so that the painter can come to fix this problem.  Well, as usual, no show.  The painter failed to come.  It was a wasted day, since I had to take time off from my busy work schedule.  I did called Mr. Castillo earlier on 11/19/13 at 469-569-3027.  I was told that I have the wrong number.  Well, I became so frustrated that I emailed Mr. Castillo again. 
Mr. Castillo replied he can't be check his workers 100% now that he is out of town.  He said he told them to show that day and he apologized for this.  He states that the work that his painters made was done right and that they were never told that I was going to replace my toilet for a small one that will show that detail behind the tank.  He also states that "you know that we did all the work on the time that we said and the way that you wanted, we didn't fail on anything and I am willing to send my painters to fix that detail without any extra charge because this was not a bad work or short cut as you said the tank was all the way next to the wall, we never charged you to remove the toilet and reinstall it".  Now, when he said that we never charged you to remove the toilet/reinstall it.  I don't know what he means.  The estimate he provided me was for them to remove my old toilet and replace it with a new one, which they did.  However, Mr. castillo did not removed my new Glacier Bay dual flush toilet and replaced it with the new American Standard toilet.  I had Home Depot remove the Glacier Bay dual flush toilet and HD installed the new American Standard toilet. 
I never told Mr. Castillo to only paint around the toilet tank area.  I paid for the room to be painted, I did not said, by the way, you don't have to paint behind the toilet tank.  According to Mr. Castillo, he said he didn't took any short cuts, but I've had work done in the past by a handyman, and they removed the toilet tank to paint next to the walls of the toilet tank at my prevous house. 
Mr. Castillo said "I never said that we won't do it so don't said that we are not responding".  Well, responding to me is by ensuring that someone comes to my house to rectify the problem, responding to me is replying to my email in 10/2013 which he failed to respond.  I understand Mr. Castillo can't supervise employees, but accountability and promptness starts at the top, he is the owner of this company, and it is his responsibility to ensure employees do the work he asks them to do.  If employees fail to show up to rectify a problem, then it seems they have no accountability.  I'm a very busy person with my job, and I can't afford to take more time off for another no show appointment from his painters.  I feel that it is not worth it to undertake another big project such as Kitchen remodeling in the near future if Mr. Castillo shows me that they can't even fix some very small simple problem.  It is very important to see that a contractor can fix any problems should they arise a few weeks or a few months after the work was done by them.  If they can't fix something so miniscule as this, then I'm concerned about major issues that should come along after they complete the work.  No, I don't recommend him based on the fact that he fails to rectify problems after the work is done.  Dependability is so questionable, since his painter doesn't come when he is supposed ot, and he doesn't responds at times to your emails, and seems even his phone number has changed again.

Fernando met me at my convenience and gave me an email bid. His crew was able to start when I wanted them to. They arrived at 8 am and worked until 6:15 or so. They finished quicker than expected and all work was done very well. I had to add the door and trim job when the  walls looked so perfect and his painter was able to come back the next day and also did that very quickly. The painter was able to blend the touch ups with previous paint color to save time and cost. They moved some furniture and covered everything. It was a good experience and I would use him again.

Very smooth efficent labor's clean and neat, wore footies in home. Cleaned when they finished. Asked if there was anything else that needed attention.  Would use company again in a second.

Project was on budget extras were down to us as we asked for additional work to be done.
Fernando was on site every day to check on his guys and to take care of any issues that arose - he consulted us on the progress and explained all the work being done.
Started with complete demo of the old space, taking room back to studs, installed new insulation to outside walls and repaired/replaced rotten wood.
A/C return moved
Subfloor was completely replaced, and new floor joists were installed to repair water damage.
Wall was removed and new knee wall constructed.
Plumbing for shower was moved to opposite end of new tub
New Hardie cement board installed in shower area
Green board installed in other wet areas
New tile with accent added to shower and vanity backsplash
New floor tile installed using Detra Mat underlayment
Néw Custom cabinets installed with new doors to match added to existing built in
Granite countertops
Shower glass installed

I cannot praise Fernando and his crew highly enough - especially ' Lalo', the man is amazing! There seems to be that there is nothing tis guy can't do.

Trash was hauled off every day, and the job was left tidy every night.

WELL DONE- LOOKS FANTASTIC!!!!!
