"I had some previously tinted windows that I wanted to match, and Steve quickly and accurately matched the tint. David arrived on time and the quality of his work was excellent. I would definitely recommend Metro Tint and would contact them again."

"Gee, but we wish we had seen these reviews before contacting Executive Window Services to clean our windows in March of 2018. We have nothing but regret ... We had used Executive Window Services several times over the past 5 years and had mostly been pleased ... until this year. We are so displeased with our most recent experience that we have submitted a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau; have written a formal letter of complaint to Shane, who we believe is the owner – (can’t really tell) - but apparently is uninvolved in the business now; and are currently in discussions with an attorney trying to determine the best remedy for our situation. Not only was the window cleaning services marginal, but the charges for the service were double what we had been charged by Executive Window services in previous years. What was most odd/disturbing about this visit is ... without saying a word to us … in the middle of having our windows cleaned by a "one man crew" (David) ... two other men showed up and started measuring our windows, supposedly because “David" said we "needed to have 3 windows replaced". It was totally news to us. We were stunned. However, being conscientious homeowners, we wanted to do the responsible thing. So, we put down a deposit. Later that evening, we were confronted with an unrelated unplanned expense that we realized would prevent us from making window replacement a priority … so we immediately contacted "David" to cancel our order. Bottom line, David, the current "foreman/workman" (not really sure of his role entirely) owes us money for a window replacement order we canceled within 18 hours of putting down the deposit. After we canceled, our order, he told us he would return our check to us - no problem. But, he didn't return it, he cashed it! He gave countless excuses as to how that happened when we called him on it; he apologized; and then he promised to refund our money. As of this date, we have NOT received our refund, we have NOT heard back from David - nor have we heard from Shane. Neither has responded to our many phone calls, text messages, emails ... and now, the Better Business Bureau complaint. The biggest disappointment and watch out for any potential customer is ... David comes across as very charming and presents himself as a "caring" professional. Don't believe it. We will never do business with Executive Window Services again. Be warned."

"I contacted the provider about my half moon window that gets the intense west setting sun. Inside the house is the vaulted room that is very hot because of the sun in the later part of the day, also requiring you to wear sunglasses or risk falling in the house because of being blinded from the sun! They were very friendly over the phone and answered all my questions. They came out to measure, and within a week I had my solar screen. Its amazing how much better that room is, cooler, and non-blinding. And the screen even comes with a lifetime warranty!

It is possible to tint your house windows yourself, but hiring a professional window tinter is usually best. Window tint is relatively easy to apply, but getting a clean application that looks seamless is challenging. It’s easy to end up with a tint film that hangs over the edges of your glass or falls short of it, and without experience and the proper tools, you could end up with unsightly bubbles. Hiring a professional to tint your windows adds labor costs, but you’ll receive a high-quality tint appearance and not have to redo it.
The average cost to tint your home windows is around $600 or around $75 per window. However, it’s not uncommon for prices to range from $150 to $1,600. Your total project cost will depend on the amount and size of the windows. Window tinting can help make your home more energy efficient by blocking harsh sunlight, protect your furniture from fading, and create more privacy for your household.
Consider other essential cost factors, including the following:
Shade and quality of the tint
Type of tint
Labor cost of hiring window tinter
A 35% tint is the most popular for home windows. This level is significantly darker than the legal tint limit for car windows—usually around 70%. At 35% tint, more than half of the incoming light is blocked. This tint percentage still allows for plenty of natural light to fill your space while drastically improving your home’s energy efficiency and comfort in your living space. If you hire a professional to tint your windows, they usually bring screens to show you what different tints will look like to make it easier to choose what’s right for your home.
Most window installation and repair companies can handle putting tint film over your existing windows, but it’s best to hire a company that specializes in window tinting. This decision will result in the best application for the cleanest look, and it usually means you’ll get a better professional opinion about the type of tint and tint level that makes the most sense for your home and personal preferences.
Most homeowners find that hiring a professional window tinter to tint their house windows is well worth the investment, as there are several key benefits that home window tint offers. These include the following:
Reduced UV light, meaning less fading of furniture and flooring
Improved home energy efficiency, lowering electric bills
Improved privacy
More comfortable and even temperature in your living area
Reduces glare on screens on TVs and other electronics
