"I had some previously tinted windows that I wanted to match, and Steve quickly and accurately matched the tint. David arrived on time and the quality of his work was excellent. I would definitely recommend Metro Tint and would contact them again."

"Jeremy and his team did a great job! They removed the 18-year-old tint we had on our windows before beginning their installation. They took the time to make sure all glue residue was gone, and the glass was clean before applying the ceramic tint. We selected 35% on the majority of our windows and put 25% on our higher windows where the sun has been blinding. The tint makes the outside colors more vibrant, and it looks great!! We've been putting this off way too long and are so glad we finally got it done. We highly recommend Dynamic Tintz for their product, their work ethic, and their professionalism. Thanks!!"

"Top quality installation on a front door / glass entrance to a new house in Grapevine. Ryan and his team are top notch, professional and responsive. They turned it around the same day, and the pricing was well below what they could have charged given the quality of work. I will definitely use them again, whether it is a residential or commercial application. 10/10!"

"Gee, but we wish we had seen these reviews before contacting Executive Window Services to clean our windows in March of 2018. We have nothing but regret ... We had used Executive Window Services several times over the past 5 years and had mostly been pleased ... until this year. We are so displeased with our most recent experience that we have submitted a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau; have written a formal letter of complaint to Shane, who we believe is the owner – (can’t really tell) - but apparently is uninvolved in the business now; and are currently in discussions with an attorney trying to determine the best remedy for our situation. Not only was the window cleaning services marginal, but the charges for the service were double what we had been charged by Executive Window services in previous years. What was most odd/disturbing about this visit is ... without saying a word to us … in the middle of having our windows cleaned by a "one man crew" (David) ... two other men showed up and started measuring our windows, supposedly because “David" said we "needed to have 3 windows replaced". It was totally news to us. We were stunned. However, being conscientious homeowners, we wanted to do the responsible thing. So, we put down a deposit. Later that evening, we were confronted with an unrelated unplanned expense that we realized would prevent us from making window replacement a priority … so we immediately contacted "David" to cancel our order. Bottom line, David, the current "foreman/workman" (not really sure of his role entirely) owes us money for a window replacement order we canceled within 18 hours of putting down the deposit. After we canceled, our order, he told us he would return our check to us - no problem. But, he didn't return it, he cashed it! He gave countless excuses as to how that happened when we called him on it; he apologized; and then he promised to refund our money. As of this date, we have NOT received our refund, we have NOT heard back from David - nor have we heard from Shane. Neither has responded to our many phone calls, text messages, emails ... and now, the Better Business Bureau complaint. The biggest disappointment and watch out for any potential customer is ... David comes across as very charming and presents himself as a "caring" professional. Don't believe it. We will never do business with Executive Window Services again. Be warned."

"I contacted the provider about my half moon window that gets the intense west setting sun. Inside the house is the vaulted room that is very hot because of the sun in the later part of the day, also requiring you to wear sunglasses or risk falling in the house because of being blinded from the sun! They were very friendly over the phone and answered all my questions. They came out to measure, and within a week I had my solar screen. Its amazing how much better that room is, cooler, and non-blinding. And the screen even comes with a lifetime warranty!

Window Tinting questions, answered by experts

The most popular tint percentage for home windows is 35%. Generally, most homeowners choose a visible light transmission (VLT) between 50% and 35%, where lower numbers mean less sunlight enters the home. A 35% tint blocks over half the incoming light while still allowing plenty of natural light, which can improve energy efficiency and comfort. If privacy is a primary concern, you can opt for a tint of 50% or lower to make it more difficult for people to see inside. However, keep in mind that very dark, thick tints may offer fewer energy-efficiency benefits.

Unlike cars, there are no laws regulating window tint percentages on homes, so you can choose what you think is best. It is often a good idea to hire a professional, as they can show you samples of how different tint levels will look in your specific property, helping you make the right choice.

Use a combination of blackout methods to truly black out your windows. If you want to eliminate all light from your room, try installing a very dark tinted film and then putting up blackout shades over the entire window. Reach out to a professional and request some custom-made shades for the best result.

Window security film won’t prevent break-ins or stop your window from shattering from impact during extreme weather like hurricanes or tornadoes. However, applying security film is relatively inexpensive, and it can make breaking into your home significantly harder—often hard enough to deter burglars entirely—and keep your window from shattering on your floor after impact. For these reasons, window security film is often a worthwhile investment that helps protect your property.

The most energy-efficient windows are double—or triple-pane windows with low-emissivity (Low-E) coatings and gas fills between the panes. These windows reduce heat transfer, prevent drafts, and help maintain a consistent indoor temperature. But if replacing windows isn’t in your budget, pairing your existing windows with insulating window treatments can still make a noticeable difference in home comfort and monthly bills.

You can easily and cheaply use tin foil or cardboard to black out your windows. Save a pretty penny by cutting either material to the size of your windows and taping it to the window. This is one of the easiest and most budget-friendly blackout solutions, but it definitely isn’t the most aesthetically friendly.
