They carried boxes marked "Fragile" upside down, broke items in half, water-damaged upholstered items, and their contract obviously requires waiving most claims. I've moved several times, and this is one of the worst moving experiences I've had."

"I hired Big Bear Movers after speaking with Broderick over the phone. I zelled him a deposit for a move on 7/27/24 at noon. He called me on Friday at 4:30 to see if I wanted him to come then. I told him to come Saturday as we were not finished packing. At 1 pm on Saturday, to my surprise, Nelson's Low Cost Movers showed up smelling like weed. They worked extremely hard and the move got more complex as their truck would not fit into the parking garage The brand new apartment my son moved into suffered a chunk out of the front door, a few dings in door frames and several scrapes on the brand new walls. The leather couch ended up with a tear in the back left corner, dresser ended up being drooped on its side, denting and scratching one edge and the brand new flooring. Bottom line is, if you hire this company make sure they don't sub it out to low end moving company."

"KING CON: I booked King Moving Co. and Pamela McCarty of The McCarty Group, who at the recommendation of King co-owner Grant Fowler would provide "concierge" service to personally pack the art and collectibles, orchestrate the entire move, including King's packing, personally do all unpacking, and handle interior design and placement of all contents in the new home. Grant and Pam said they'd done more than 100 seamlessly successful moves together. Wow! And look at those great reviews to prove it! It was h***. Examples: Pam immediately tried to cut corners on the "turnkey" promise; bullied--ignored my instructions on handling art and banged framed pictures on tables and floor; imperiously told me "you can listen to that later" when I turned on a CD at the new home, pointing to her earphone, from which I could hear "Jesus"; despite my warning on what was clearly an assembled 6' book case, persisted in leaning it so precariously that it crashed to the floor, splintering an antique cherry end table; ignored the instructions and map to the reserved moving truck parking location at the new address and wasted an hour incommunicado with the crew while circling the building and questioning total strangers on the street, leaving her van with my valuables open and unlocked; spent a good hour every day criticizing the new home; shelved my 2,000+ books randomly, although I'd had her instruct the King guys to number each bookcase and shelf so the books would be placed correctly by subject; failed to finish the job, not surprising since she showed up solo as a kind of inflated would-be Superwoman, with no evidence of a McCarty GROUP; left without giving me a tour of where everything was; refused to take responsibility for any breakage or loss; and disappeared without a trace. (The self-proclaimed perfect packer had placed a variety of fine flatware and gourmet kitchen utensils at the bottom of a grocery sack containing unrelated, previously broken items I was considering having repaired, and which I almost threw out at the new home without seeing what was at the bottom. Ultimately all that was missing were eight very fine antique Gumps Double Old Fashioned glasses, two of a Gumps antique crystal compote set and two pieces of an antique English porcelain tea set. Tough luck!) For his part, Grant, whose contract required my payment of a 100% replacement/repair policy, denied any responsibility either, blaming everything on Pam, but offered to take care of a few other matters "because I'm a good guy," his constant refrain. (Pam and Grant are the only people I've ever met who incessantly sing their own praises. Note to self: That is a red flag!) I told him I'd rather keep my First Amendment rights and self respect than sign his gag order, and have handled the damage myself. Moral: If reviews look too good to be true, they probably are."

"I cannot say enough great things about All Service Moving—and ESPECIALLY Rico and Reyes, who were absolute lifesavers for my last-minute move. After another moving company bailed on me the day before my scheduled move, All Service swooped in and saved the day. Rico and Reyes showed up EARLY, upbeat, and ready to tackle the challenge—even with super heavy furniture that usually requires a 4-person crew. Somehow, the two of them handled everything like pros without a single scratch or ding—on the furniture or either home. What really stood out was how personable, kind, and thoughtful they were. They moved quickly and efficiently, knowing I was paying by the hour, but never once sacrificed care or quality. They were kind to my mom (who was helping me out), and so sweet to my two dogs too. If you’re planning a move, ask for Rico and Reyes by name. They went above and beyond, and I want their team to know what a fantastic job they did. They deserve every bit of recognition. 100% recommend."

"Luis was hired to move my piano. What a fiasco. First, it was rescheduled the day before. Next, it wasn't Luis who came to move my piano. It was two guys that he hired on Craigslist. They said he has hired them for other jobs before. They did not have an enclosed truck but had borrowed grandpa's truck. No ramp, no tarp (it was raining). They went to the store to get a tarp. Gone more than an hour. Came back and couldn't figure how to get piano down the steps and then into the back of the truck. My 70 year old sister was out in the rain helping them and instructing them on how to maneuver down the steps and lift it up. THEY HAD NEVER MOVED A PIANO DOWN STEPS BEFORE, although the job description clearly mentioned steps. It was a 3-hour process. Then, it took them another 3 hours to get to the destination. The good news is, the piano made it there. But I would never recommend hiring this person. Not a professional. I did send him a message with my concerns and he did not respond. "

"The 2 people who actually showed up were professional, although they arrived very late, which I attribute to three poor management. I was quoted 3 guys for 8 hours, and only 2 showed up. They attempted to overcharge me the original quote. Long story short, Tower contracted a local company and did a poor job of handing over the job."
