"Terrible! We have 2 homes in 2 different cities under contract by TruGreen. DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE RENEWING CONTRACT!!!! Very disappointed in customer service, continually trying to upcharge us, unable to speak to a customer service representative, charged us twice in a month more than once, charged us for services not in our contract, unable to communicate with the service department directly/you basically have to call main number and play like you are wanting new services for your home. It’s a JOKE! It’s taking me 3 phone calls to cancel my contract!!! Ridiculous! Read BBB, Yelp and other places for reviews. Their website reviews are FAKE!"

Local Family Owned Full service Pest Control Company in business since 1987. Termite Control, General Pest Control, Bed Bugs, Lawn Treatments

"My landlord, Kushboo, she uses these guys, probably because they're cheap and she won't spend an extra penny because they need to buy up more Huntsville properties. They come quarterly. Over 10 months I've had a growing infestation, 7 of those very obvious. Roaches crawling over everything, throwing out pantry goods because they got into it, washing dishes after you eat and before you cook and eating out way more than a careful budget would permit or person would like. So I'm mad. I tell the guy seven months ago when he comes that I need to see at least one dead roach after that visit. I don't. Four months ago, I tell him his stuff isn't working, we have 3 different species that have evolved past it, he doesn't say anything, just sprays for 2 minutes and leaves. It's like he's too important to talk to us. A month ago I just told him he's the worst exterminator in the world. Today, special visit, the owner acted like we were the problem and left. Like I shouldn't be mad. 0"

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Skunks like to forage for grubs in the soil, like worms and insects, but they are also tempted by trash and pet food bowls, so keeping these items out of sight may help keep skunks away. Skunks also like to set up a den in dark places, such as a crawl space or outbuilding.

The simple answer is that food attracts moles to your yard. These creatures have a powerful sense of smell, and they’re looking for their next meal, i.e., grubs, earthworms, ants, and other insects. Moist, loose soil also makes it easier for them to travel, so an overwatered lawn could attract them. Male moles might make their way into your yard to expand their territory or look for a new mate. And if your neighbor has moles, there’s a good chance they may tunnel over to your yard.

Termites can start causing damage within just a few weeks of settling in, and while the signs might not show up right away, they can hollow out drywall and structural wood within a few months. If left untreated for a year or more, the damage can be extensive and expensive.

While you may be hearing squirrels running around your attic at night, these animals are usually more active during the day. If you hear scratching sounds in your attic at night, it’s mostly likely a mouse, raccoon, or bat. Investigate your roof, attic, and other entrances to your home to find signs that indicate the presence of squirrels or other pests.

When woodpeckers start banging on your walls or roof, they are probably looking for insects to eat, storing nuts for winter, drilling a hole to make a nest, or communicating with other birds to establish territory or find a mate.

The size of the hole can help determine the reason for the pecking. Small irregular holes are a result of insect hunts. Acorn holes are more consistently sized and often fitted with a nut in the middle. Nest holes are large and have rounded edges. If the bird is pecking to mark its territory or attract a mate, it may leave dents rather than holes, and the noise will stop when the mating season starts in spring.
