Response from BS Electric No Bull
"There is always one person who isn't satisfied with everything. It doesn't matter what you do for them, they just are not going to be satisfied. It wouldn't matter if you put an add on Angi Leads claiming to need a generator installed on your home so your home could be plugged into it so BS Electric No Bull would have to pay $34 for the chance to call you and be told oh that's not what was wanted at all, "I am just an old lady who's back will not allow me to put a battery on my generator." Considering your home in the villages with the big blue storage shed in the back yard is 40 minutes from my shop in Jacksonville I tell you sometimes my son and I go fishing out that way next time we go I will save your number and check to see if a neighbor or someone you know has been courteous enough to change it for you in the meantime. A few weeks passed by one afternoon coming in from work we decided to go fishing for a while in which I called you and asked if you still needed the battery changed and you said yes. My son and I stopped by, and I swapped the battery for you on your portable generator that you informed me had been sitting half under the eve of your home with the back plate taken loose from the electrical connections with the same fuel you had put in it years prior. After observing the weathered generator, I go out to my boat that I'm pulling and grab some starter fluid out of it spray some in the air intake pull the rope on the generator in which it tries to start. I inform you that you should drain the fuel from the generator and put new fuel in and that the carburetor needed to be cleaned but you could probably buy/have installed a new one cheaper than paying someone to come to your home and clean it. You asked me if I could do this for you. Ok, get the carburetor if I am working in your area I will stop by and put it on. Stop 2 I drain fuel take off old carb put on new one (BS Electric No Bull is an electrical contractor.) The person working on your generator is doing this in their free time having only 4 days off since June 90 hour 7-day work weeks. Upon installing the new components your generator pull starts and runs. You ask me what I think is wrong with the push button start and if it could possibly be fixed. After I look over the unit, I tell you that I think the on/off switch is faulty and after bypassing it the start button illuminates and the generator cranks but does not start after pushing it. Observing the control board receives 12 volts but is not letting it pass through it to the fuel shutoff solenoid on the carburetor, so I run 12 volts directly to the solenoid push the start button the generator runs fine, so I tell you the control board is faulty it needs a new one. So, I agree that if you get one and I get some free time I would stop by and swap this out for you, which I do, and the generator starts then dies and will not start again. After spraying a squirt of starter fluid in the air intake the generator runs for a brief second and dies. I inform you Mrs. [Removed] I hate to tell you this, but your new carburetor needs to be cleaned there must be rust or some sort of sediment in your fuel tank. Upon me running the 12volts to the fuel shut off valve I blew the 10-amp automotive fuse, a 12-cent part that powers the start button circuit. I did not have the correct tools to take your carburetor apart to clean it with me but tell you when I get some free time I will stop back by with the correct tools, new twelve cent fuse and on/off switch. Remember I have had 4 days off since June 1 and have made 3 trips by your residence in my free time which is nearly nonexistent. I never asked you for a dime at any time or ever mentioned having to pay $34 to Angi Leads for your lead. I still have not had time to come to your house to do this for you and I did not work in your area the only time I was I had a emergency with my son. The fact you bash me is unbelievable."
