"Mr. Westbrook was easy to get in touch with and was able to quickly understand my needs - he put together a proposal quickly and got started over the winter holidays.  We had design meetings to go through the initial sketch and feedback was noted for refinement.  The output was clean and to my expectations.  I would use Wally Westbrook Designs again for future commercial projects.

"Bobby constantly stayed in touch, respected my desire to buy materials from a local small business, started the job as agreed, and went above and beyond. To get the deck level, they had to level the trailer. I’m replacing one deck, they also used excess material to rebuild the worn out picnic table. They clean up every day, and we’re just super nice people. Very professional, and cared so much about making us happy. Skid foundations, deck block foundations, and concrete block foundations are the most affordable shed foundation options. Of these, we recommend deck blocks. Deck blocks are easy to install and level, and they raise your shed up off the ground to prevent rotting from exposure to water and moisture. Keep in mind that deck blocks won’t resist soil movement or frost heave, so they’re not ideal in areas with expansive soil or a deep frost line.

Pole barns and carports are similar in that they rely on posts for support and are often not connected to a primary structure. The main difference between the two is that pole barns usually include walls that surround the entire perimeter of the structure, while carports generally remain open on three or four sides. It’s possible to insulate garage doors and even exterior walls on pole barns to create a comfortable workspace, and it’s a bit more secure for storage purposes. However, carports are more affordable.

Whether you should choose a flat roof or a sloped roof depends on your particular situation. Flat roofs tend to be less expensive to install. However, sloped roofs have longer lifespans and stand up better to heavy snow and other inclement weather.

Keep in mind that even a flat roof needs to have a slight slope, usually around 1/2 inch for every foot. If it is completely flat, water will pool and cause damage, either from weight or leakage or rot.
