"The contractor came out with everyday to check on his workers. The workers only took breaks when it was their lunch time. They didn't waste time. They stuck really close to the bid they gave us. We have a Victorian home, you never know what you are going to run into with something like this. He's bid was almost to the penny. He did our remodel and he also recently build us a 870 3 car garage/carport. I would rate them really high! They are nice people and do what they say they are going to do. They don't mess around."

"It was a very large project and took 9 workdays in total to complete. Fernando Osorio (the crew foreman) was awesome as was the rest of his crew (Mark Willis, Barton Aleman, and Octavio Jacobo). They all worked very hard and most days were long hours. Fernando kept us informed about what time they’d be showing up as well as the plan for each day. Our house still isn’t completely level but it was extremely unlevel before their work and we feel like they got it as level as it could get. In the past, I have not been satisfied with most contractors who’ve done work for me but I’d definitely recommend Fernando and FSS to others."

"Roy was very helpful and reached out to me to start repairs on my foundation. Their procedure for lifting and leveling my home was knowledgable and prompt. I felt their pricing was extremely competitive for the area and he was so helpful when it came to paying the bill. They require half down to start, the remainder when the job is finished. The job finished by having a professional engineer come out and do an entire new diagram of my home. Overall, awesome experience!"

"My experience with Hercules started with the owner who was quick to respond to my request for a visit to quote leveling my foundation. I found out this is a family owned business during our visit which is important as I like to support locally owned businesses. Everyone I have spoken to and worked with on my project have been very professional, positive and responsive. The project was kept to the timeline and budget to include the clean-up. I would highly recommend Hercules to anyone wanting a job well done at a competitive price."

"Baird foundation has the best courteous and professional team. I called Rusty after a year to double check house levelling before construction begins and he was quick to respond and check out our home to give us ok to start cooking work. He even took time to check our front door and help to tighten up screws for door to close. He wentt the extra mile. We are very happy with Baird foundation. They remember you and treat you like family. Thanks again Rusty. Gloria Garcia"

"These guys were amazing! Very professional. Out of the 3 companies we talked to these guys are the only ones that took the time to actually walk me through everything that was wrong. Bruce wanted me to be involved so I could see where the problem was and ask questions. Very transparent. He made it very clear and precise as to what needed to be done. Knowing this was as going to be a process they made the decision very comfortable to make. Most important of all they earned our trust. I highly recommend these guys. You absolutely will not be disappointed."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.

Costs range from $500 to $1,500, depending on the size and condition of the area.

There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation. Rather than placing supportive piers under your structure, these involve pumping a material under your slab to lift a sunken section back into its original position. Polyjacking, in particular, is sometimes a suitable solution for stabilization issues under slab foundations, but underpinning is often accepted as the best and most permanent solution.

The method involves lifting settled concrete using pressurized cement slurry via drilled holes. This solves uneven surfaces and prevents further settling.
