"When I needed it most... My house is 16 years old, out of warranty and the foundation started to crack. I called Allen at Hercules prior to the pandemic. He came out and measured and found that the second story and garage were pulling away from the rest of the structure. Due to expense, I had to wait for repairs. I had no idea I would be waiting for the next two years almost due to CoVid. For those two years all I could think about was my house my house falling and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it. A few months ago, I felt like I was finally able to address the foundation. I called Allen again. Not only did he remember me, but he was here within a few days to reassess the house, give me a quote and schedule the work. Still, I had to wait. With the pandemic, material prices went up and so the cost of the repair. I was in a situation - again. I can't say enough about how Allen waited on me, worked with me and made sure I was able to get the repairs I needed. In addition, the crew he sent out was awesome! They led me through every step of the process. Lauren helped me with the financials and invoicing; they sent someone to walk me through the actual repair and let me know what was going to be done; they were here on schedule and completed the job in only two days!!! Not only did they close all the holes, it was as if the holes had not been there at all when literally saw grown men disappear into the ground around my house! When I needed it most, I felt like I was family - not financial gain. Hercules is a company you can truly rely on to do the job of caring for your needs and doing quality work. "We had an issue with the foundation of our home moving. Due to the freeze of 2021 and the rains that followed the soil between the homeâ s foundation beams and the bed rock began to shift. We noticed cracks in our ceiling and the garage floor. We contacted various contractors but quickly settled with Hercules Foundation. Allen Alexander of Hercules Foundation came to our house, measured the distances from level, assessed the damage and proposed the work needed to be performed and the timing. Hercules Foundation would be responsible for all permits required and obtain markings of the utility lines and finally the inspection and approval of the City Engineers. The price quoted was competitive. The work comes with a Life Time Warranty and is transferrable in the event we would sell our home. The work compromised included installing 18 piers, around the areas of the house that required leveling, the digging of the holes, removal of river rock and flagstone in parts of the back yard. The time quoted for completion was three (3) days. Considering the amount of work required I found this to be somewhat optimistic. The team that completed the work was managed by Michael Sanchez. I have rarely experienced a team that was so professional, safety consciousness, patient with our constant questioning, punctual, trust in each other and the work they were doing, and the way they performed the work as a team. It is a team that is loyal to each our and Hercules Foundation. Michael Sanchezâ s son is being deployed to The Ukraine. God bless him and all US Service men and women. When reviewing the work performed another amazing observation was that it looked clean and as if nothing was done."

"My elderly mother's house has many cracks in the walls, and the front door at times is very difficult to close and lock. She even got locked out of the house once because the key wouldn't turn in the door, which has been raised and lowered repeatedly. That scared her and she sought an estimate of how much it would cost and what would be involved in getting the house leveled again(It had been done in 1987, too). Her contractor arranged for the man from Olshan to come out, which he did.
After carefully looking at the cracks and asking questions about the house's construction, he used an electronic device to compare the changes in the levels of the various parts of the house. He found as much as 9 inches difference from the front to the back of the house. He said that a newly constucted 30ft wall should have no more than 3/4and quot; change from one end to the other.
We sat down to talk about the situation and he told us the house and the whole neighborhood were built on an area of expanding clay (we already knew this) and that although the 1987 work done by another company was pretty good for the technology available then, unless the concrete pillars they installed had reached down to solid rock(and this clay is as much as 14 ft deep in some areas), the cracks would return and continue, which they have.
Now here is where his honesty and integrity really kick in---he said that because there was no way to guarantee the work (Olshan does a lifetime guarantee), they would NOT do a foundation and quot;Repairand quot; on the house. He talked about the seasonal nature of the clay's expanding and contracting, and told us if they were to do the work, the presence of the concrete pillars from the previous work would make it even harder to put in their piers (they would have to drill through the old ones--very expensive!). He said we could spent a lot of money and have cracks again within six months. So this young man apologized and declined to do the job! WOW! Honesty and integrity! We were impressed and thanked him."
