"Last weekend had someone pry our side door open to our exterior garage and the ADT door sensor picked it up immediately. The alarm siren was loud and scared the person off. Someone from the response center called within 30 seconds. We’re fortunate that the security system did what it is supposed to. Feels like we made the right call going with an ADT security system."
"I have had Frontpoint for 4 years to keep our vacation home safe. Now that we retired and live here I wanted to up grade and add some features. Alex Bodnar was OUTSTANDING. Very helpful in answering any and all my questions. Want to secure your family and home? Give him a call NOW 844.344.7890"
All went well, up and running in no time at all. It is very user friendly, you don't need a PHD to operate this system and we feel secure and safe knowing that we are being protected 24/7.
"That's the name I am vaguely familiar with; it's a home security company that is license to ADT franchise or dealer if I am correct. They were very good. They were prompt; they were quality. The individuals move their business. They were very timely and it was a good experience."
"Protect America Alarm Systems are wireless home security systems that are so advanced and yet uncomplicated that the consumer can install all components to the system themselves. Tech support is provided which makes installation easy and very user friendly. The system is monitored and response to alarm signal is quick and nearly immediate. ( I accidentally set it off a couple times having forgotten that it was set when we left home). I've had a couple different systems in my homes over the years which were "professionally" installed; one was wired the other wireless. I install this myself with the help of tech support, I'm 65years old in good health but of course not as agile as I was a few years ago, but this system was a piece of cake for me to install. Every access to my home has been covered as well as some interior sensors. All of which have functioned flawlessly from day one! "

"OK first of all I never write reviews, dont have the time. However, the experience I had was amazing. I mean from when they answered the phone I felt comfortable. No high pressure, very straight forward salesperson. I called two other companies and both tried to upsell me from what they advertised. I am so happy I called Skycover! They did not try to upsell me. I purchased exactly what was advertised and saved even more money than I thought. I got a video camera for free with the system! I have a home office and now I can see what my assistant is doing from anywhere I travel in the world and I frequently travel to China for work. The system arrived to my door in a beautiful box and I will admit was concerned about setting it up, but it was plug and play just like the salesperson said. It took me less than 30 minutes in total and was super simple. I control everything from my phone. This is the greatest thing I have done in a long time, I would recommend this product and company to anyone I know! "

"Elliot called me in reply to my online inquiry. He (patiently and professionally) answered my many coverage and price questions, then gave me time to 'digest' it all and called me back (as promised) at 4PM...to answer more questions. Elliot also worked with me to secure the maximum amount of discount savings. Time will tell if the warranty coverage/work is what it's cracked up to be, but Elliot Chahino is an excellent salesperson. Reach out to him directly if you want the same level of service attention. "American Home Shield has been a pathetic disappointment. I have been without a refrigerator and kitchen water for over a month. My refrigerator stopped working over a month ago. The ice maker had stopped working two months before that. I called AHS and they scheduled an appointment in 10 days. At that scheduled appointment time a Sears appliance technician came and began work on my GE fridge. He worked for several hours before telling me he needed parts and would get them and return. Within the next week four separate boxes of parts arrived at my door. I had to call AHS several times (I recall at least two) to have a technician come to put them in. Six days later a man from Gulf Appliance (Chris?) came to my door to finish the job. He asked me for the $75 fee. I told him I wasn't going to pay until it was fixed. He poked around for a while then told me there were other things wrong with the unit and it would need other parts. After taking all the parts that had been delivered, he left, telling me someone would be back. The next day another man from Gulf Appliance came to fix the ice maker. He also asked for $75. My response was the same as the day before. He told me that another repair service would come to fix the refrigerator as that is a separate issue and it would cost an additional $75. Before leaving, the technician turned off the water in my kitchen sink so the ice maker/water dispenser wouldn't leak. A week later I still hadn't heard from any technician or AHS and it is extremely difficult to get through to them. I finally spoke to a woman named Virginia and she offered me $175 toward the replacement of my $2000 refrigerator. I told her I either wanted mine fixed or a new fridge. She said she would get back to me. She never did. It has now been 33 days. I have no kitchen water and an ice chest on the floor. My freezer (separate cooling systems) has since gone out and all my frozen food has gone bad. I called this morning and spoke to a man name Courtney. He was rude and dismissive. I asked for a supervisor and he told me there weren't any available and Virginia would call me back tomorrow. When I asked Courtney if he was allowed to work without a boss, he told me all the supervisors were busy and someone would get back to me within 24 to 48 hours. The only received one call from AHS. That was a request to renew my contract! Ha! I will now attempt to contact AHS president, Mark Barry at the corporate office. 889 Ridge Lake Rd Memphis, TN 38135 HQ Phone # 888 429 8247 "
Each has its use, depending on the scenario. Security doors are primarily intended to keep people out of the home, while storm doors are used to protect the home from extreme weather. Both tend to be made from heavy-duty metal and may include glass panels to allow light to enter the home. Storm doors can feature mesh screens, just like screen doors, to allow for increased ventilation and to keep out pests. Security doors rarely, if ever, have mesh screens.
A steel door that's been toughened up with extra materials creates the perfect barrier. These bad boys are way stronger than your typical wooden or fiberglass doors, making them a fantastic choice for folks who want that extra layer of security for their homes. So, if you're all about keeping things super secure, a reinforced steel door will cost you more, but it is your best bet.
A deadbolt differs from a regular lock in its design, construction, and security level. Regular locks are typically used for interior doors, such as for bedrooms and bathrooms, and provide minimal security. They are easy to install and use, often featuring a simple locking mechanism on the inside. In contrast, a deadbolt is one of the most secure locks you can install on an exterior door. Its internal construction is designed to withstand significant force, adding a crucial layer of security that can deter intruders. While deadbolts may be more expensive and complicated to install, they are cost-effective for the security they provide and are built to hold up to wear and tear.
One significant drawback of home automation is the increased risk of cybersecurity threats. With more connected devices in our homes, there's a greater chance that hackers might try to exploit vulnerabilities to access personal data or even control your devices. If you don't secure your smart gadgets properly, they can become entry points for cyberattacks, risking your privacy and safety. Moreover, technology isn't perfect. Sometimes, systems can malfunction or experience connectivity issues, disrupting your daily routines. The upfront cost of buying and installing smart devices can also be a hurdle for some people.
