"TakeAir Houston came to our home to clean our AC vents. After inspection they found we had a mold infestation in all out AC vents and AC unit. Avi gave us a number of photo's to review and told us what it would take to kill the mold and what would be needed to clean the full system once the mold was eliminated. Avi also showed us photo's and videos of our insulation which was contaminated and also missing in quite a few areas of our loft. He then told us what was need to clean out the old insulation, clean the loft and blow 13" of R38 insulation back in. When the guys turned up to do the work they were very respectable of our home and it's contents. They covered everything up and got on with their work. Once everything was completed they showed us the before and after photos and also gave us a video of the loft area showing us the new insulation. All in all they did a wonderful job, quickly, quietly and without any issues whatsoever. They whole team were great and a pleasure to have in our home. I would definitely recommend TakeAir Houston for any mold, cleaning or insulation work you may have at your home"

Let me preface this with...I have never done this before, no written review of any kind. These guys are just that impressive. I used RAS after spending over $20 grand and 10 years of bad and untrustworthy AC companies. Fixed everything in the house but the problem. RAS came in like a Superhero!!! Fixed the problems and didn't try to sell me unnecessary stuff.

Had an emergency upon returning home from biz trip, at night, house was 96. Lance had someone over in about an hour! Again fixed problem, cleaned unit and did NOT push me to replace old unit. This week I had them install a new Trane unit. Price and service above my expectations. It is awesome quiet, see the difference in house temps already.

Nut shell- to be able to trust a service company is PRICELESS. Honest, considerate of both my time and my house. Guys wore booties and cleaned up after themselves. Had to come through my kitchen and dining room to get to unit. Moved the furniture and I still couldn't tell they had been here!! Can't say enough about this company. I wish there were more companies that have integrity and care about their customers. One down!

"I am writing this review to commend Cucco's for their professionalism and work ethic. It is very refreshing to deal with a company that is true to what they say they will do and they do it pleasantly  without any hassle. Thank you so much for the  professionalism that you have shown in my dealing with you.  Every technician that has come to my house has been very customer friendly. Martin did an excellent job at correcting a problem with my air conditioner. I truly believe that when you handle customers the way that you do, you will  continue to be blessed in your business.  Thank You!

"They did a great job. Our house smells and feels so much cleaner. We had some water damage and needed our roof replaced so a lot of water in the house. So glad we got this done. We immediately noticed a difference."

Green Street conducted an energy audit as part of the deal, and highlighted several areas where we could improve efficiency in our home. Please note that Green Street handles both assessment and installation, so expect to receive a quote for services in addition to the results of the audit. We made the decision to postpone installation of solar fans and additional radiant barrier, thus declined the quote, Green Street then scheduled installation of the insulation. The crew came on time, was careful with our home and furniture as they moved through the house to the attic, and they cleaned up after the work was finished. I inspected the work after they completed, and the crew did an excellent job of filling in all of the open areas, and since they more insulation still available within our offer, they topped off low areas of insulation elsewhere in our attic. Overall, we were very pleased with the service, and of course the price was great.

"Got 18” of well placed insulation added to my entire attic and a thorough checkup on my A/C’s performance. They improved my A/C’s return air flow which increased my system’s output by adding an additional return air duct. My cooling and heating bill was reduced approximately 30% as a result."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

The ideal temperature for your garage in the winter is between 40 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Maintaining a minimum temperature of at least 40 to 50 degrees is crucial to prevent pipes, liquids, and other items from freezing. Low temperatures can also drain your car battery, so keeping the garage stable is vital for your vehicle. While the lower end of the range protects your belongings, the higher end is based on your personal preference for a comfortable space. If you struggle to keep the temperature from dropping below 40 degrees, consider installing a garage heater.

Yes. Bathroom insulation requires a vapor barrier. As a matter of fact, bathrooms and kitchens are the two areas of the home that should always get a vapor barrier because of the excess moisture. If you don’t have a vapor barrier in place in these rooms, the moisture will build up and eventually lead to mold and bacteria, not to mention the destruction of the insulation.

The amount of insulation you need will vary depending on where you live. Energy Star recommends certain minimum insulation values in different geographic regions. In most cases, however, even adding a little insulation is better than not adding any.

It is usually possible to install insulation yourself, but it’s often better to hire an insulation professional. An experienced insulation pro can determine which type of insulation is best for your space and the R-value get the most value and comfort in your home. Certain types of insulation can cause skin, eye, and lung irritation, and a professional will have the equipment necessary to keep themselves safe and limit the effect on your indoor air quality after the installation. Certain types of insulation—like blown-in and loose-fill insulation—demand a professional for proper functionality and safe installation.

Yes, cold walls are a common indicator of poor or inadequate insulation, especially if the walls feel significantly colder than the air in the room. This suggests that heat from your furnace is escaping rather than being retained. The issue could be that the walls have no insulation, or that the existing insulation is old or has been damaged by water, moisture, or pests. Your best course of action is to hire a professional to investigate. An insulation contractor can determine if you need to add or replace insulation and can often perform the work without creating large holes in your drywall. If you suspect the problem might also be related to your heating system's performance, an HVAC technician can take a closer look.
