"We had a great experience with our restroom remodel from start to finish. The quality of the work exceeded our expectations, and everything was completed with great attention to detail. Nick was excellent to work with, he kept me informed every step of the way, communicated clearly throughout the project, and made sure any questions or concerns were addressed promptly. I couldn’t be happier with the finished result and would highly recommend them to anyone considering a remodel."

"We had a fantastic experience with this company and they did a beautiful job. This was a complete remodel of the bathroom with lots of tile work. Most importantly the business wanted me to be happy with the outcome and included me every step of the way. They were dependable by showing up at my house when expected and keeping to the schedule. Luis is responsive to my texts and has helped with smaller jobs as well. Great business!"

"These people are great. They provided a competitive bid which we reviewed to three other companies and accepted. They explained how they would do the work and why they made the recommendations that they had made. They communicated with us between bid acceptance and job day to let us know their progress. They arrived on time. Their truck and tools were clean and organized. They prepped our home with plastic sheeting and tarps to collect any debris that may have fallen. They removed all of the sheeting, tarps etc and took it with them. They completed the task in less time then expected yet provided a greater r factor insulation (deeper fill) than the bid required. Very polite, respectful people. We've already recommended them to two friends! My wife and I are looking forward to this summer and the change this will make in our comfort and electric bills! Highly recommend them."

Barndominium Builders questions, answered by experts

You can use a variety of wood to build a barn door, but the most common options include 1-by boards and 2-by boards for the backing and the decorative boards on the front of the door. Softwoods like pine will save you some money and should hold up well, while hardwoods like maple and oak will stand up to more wear and tear. You could also build the backer out of plywood to minimize the cuts you need to make. Whatever you decide on, make sure the width of the wood is compatible with the mounting brackets you buy.

The lifespan of a barn is typically 40 to 60 years, but with skillful construction and proper maintenance, it can last up to 100 years. The actual lifespan depends on several factors, including the barn type, materials, usage, and climate. For example, the posts of a pole barn should last 50 years or longer, but if the structure is used for livestock in a rainy climate, it may rot within the first decade. Custom designs with high-end materials tend to last the longest. To get the best estimate for your barn's lifespan, you should consider its material type and intended use.

Whether you should choose a flat roof or a sloped roof depends on your particular situation. Flat roofs tend to be less expensive to install. However, sloped roofs have longer lifespans and stand up better to heavy snow and other inclement weather.

Keep in mind that even a flat roof needs to have a slight slope, usually around 1/2 inch for every foot. If it is completely flat, water will pool and cause damage, either from weight or leakage or rot.

Your chicken coop needs to be off the ground to protect your chickens and avoid problems brought on by flooding, mud, and moisture. If you can't locate a high area to build the coop, you should build an elevated coop to ensure it stays dry.

This answer varies based on where you are, but most states require that all homes are greater than 320 square feet. Remember that four walls are not the only requirements—windows, closet space, minimal ceiling heights, and indoor air quality are also factors. Each state and municipality differs, though, and as some don’t consider tiny homes permanent shelters, you’ll need to check to ensure you aren’t violating any local or state laws with your build.
