"Of all the contractors that worked hard to remodel my kitchen, Mr. Jose Lopez of High Quality Sheetrock Repair, was my favorite. After the old counter-top and old back-splash tile was removed, Mr. Lopez removed the damaged drywall and replaced it. He carefully cut around the electrical receptacles and the plumbing supply lines to avoid leaving large gaps. He made sure that the drywall was straight so that the new counter-top will lay flush against the wall. He aligned the seams to provide a smooth surface on which to install the new tile back-splash. When told that the new tile may be glass tile, he returned with paint and painted the new drywall white to ensure consistent coloration of the translucent tile. He charged no extra fees for the painting work. The beautifully laid and finished kitchen counter-top and back-splash tile are a testament to Mr. Lopez's forethought, conscientious attitude and careful attention to detail."

Jose explained every change that needed to be made based on our house's particular circumstances (for instance, when we needed longer cables for the TV) and every point where I had to make a decision, gave useful suggestions, and showed me each job as it was finished so that I could provide immediate feedback. "We just replaced our outdated and expensive security system with Smith Thompson Security. Our contacts with sales and support were friendly and helpful. The installation technician said our old system was usable and up-gradable to the new technology. We added cameras as well. The tech was knowledgeable, friendly and full of tips on using the system. Total monthly cost for this new improved security was about half of what we were paying out to the old national company. So far, we are very, very pleased with our choice."
"My wife and I recently hired the team at DC Builders to pour a new driveway and build a pretty hefty carport at our house. We were fortunate to get to work with Connie as our project manager and Joey as our builder. In the interest of not making you read to the end of my rambling review, they were fantastic and the quality of the their work was top notch. Starting with the bidding process, they were incredibly responsive, courteous, and patient while we honed in on what we wanted the structure to look like. We ended up changing the scope on them a couple of times and they were incredibly accommodating each time. After selecting DC Builders to do the work, things started moving at an impressive pace. They took care of working with an engineering firm to generate the structural drawings and site plan for city and HOA approval. After getting the HOA approval, they were able to get the permits from the city in just two days! This is a true testament to the value that Connie was able to bring to this project as we needed multiple permits for the driveway cutin, the structure, as well as the City of Houston traffic division given that we live on a "major thoroughfare". We did hit a small snag with the city approvals, but Connie handled it like a champ and we were able to continue the project without any delays. Joey and his team started construction the very next day. They were very considerate about keeping the work site clean and tidy while they built the structure and concrete forms. All trash and excess materials/dirt were hauled off daily and there was no damage to the yard despite the fairly heavy construction that was going on. The team worked consistently and I felt like the construction was completed in as timely of a manner as possible. Upon completion of the work, Joey and I did a quick walk-through to identify any issues. The one issue we did have (a small shard was partially separated on one of the columns) was resolved shortly thereafter. The quality of the project management and the construction was top notch. We will continue to work with DC Builders for any future improvements at our home. Just a quick note on the attached photo: Joey offered to paint or stain the exposed wood but I elected to do this work myself."
