I have been in the construction business for the last four years full time. I can handle anything from new construction projects, remodeling, or just some honey do projects. If you need a new ceiling fan or a new deck or maybe just your lawn mowed, I can handle it.
I’m a general contractor with hands-on experience in residential renovations, repairs, and property improvements. Through my business, HomeWorx Renovations, I’ve managed projects from planning and estimating to completion, with a strong focus on quality workmanship, clear communication, and customer satisfaction. I take pride in solving problems, staying organized, and delivering projects on time while building lasting relationships with clients.
Bill Roberts did the job, he and his brother Kevin had to come out twice just to do the estimate correctly and naturally it was higher than the original. Bill did the job and as I have heart problems and was not able to go out into the heat I paid him in full. When I realized that the work was not completed I began calling Bill on a fairly regular basis to come out and finish what he had bee
n paid for Bill has made several appointments and showed up once to finish, did not let me know he was leaving and when I went outside the work left was not completed. I called and called him, he apologized and kept giving me more dates that he never showed up for or called to reschedule.. I also had him take measurements to install a new countertop in my kitchen when I couldn't get an estimate he said he had given it to his brother and had not received an estimate as yet that was on 5/7/2015.
My husband and I are senior citizens and I have a heart problem and my husband has Parkinson's disease Bill took advantage of us
by not completing his work or having the courtesy to return a call and cancel after he made an appointment. Very disappointing and I realize I have no recourse with the money we paid the company but I hope this review helps someone else looking for a contractor. By the way the spa gate is hanging up again Bill didn't even fix that properly now I have no idea about the rest of the work performed. "
He was persistent in finding the problem although it had been happening randomly for years. Even had to replace the roof and windows but still did not fix the problem. He found the problem and fixed it when no one else could! Additionally the retaining wall was cracked and water was draining on the front entryway causing a potential safety problem. He came in with a good solution and fixed it properly.
He is always professional, honest, resourceful. Each time we have a problem or just want an upgrade, we do not hesitate to contact him.
"Amanda from Homemade design provided me with a variety of suggestions for couches, end-tables, lamps, window coverings, rugs, paints, accessories to match my style and color preferences for my living room. Amanda has better than great ideas and worked to stay within my budget. I also hired Amanda to design my kitchen, dining room, game room, and master bedroom and bath. Building and furnishing a house is a daunting task, and Amanda was a great help in putting it all together. I couldn't have done it without her. Well done Amanda! Would I recommend Amanda? Yes Yes Yes!!"

"Jarrett and his team did an excellent job. We are beyond happy with the final product. They were all very professional and personable. Jarrett and his team was able to give us options on design as well as provide an excellent finished product. The only complaint we had was that it took much longer than orginially expected. We were given a timeline of 3-4 weeks in the beginning and it ended up taking about 8 weeks to complete. In part, this was due to some unforseen circumstances that Jarrett did a great job of working with, but it in the end, it take much longer than expected to complete the job. Jarrett, however, came out to our house on a Saturday when we noticed an issue, leaving his own personal commitments to help us with our needs. Not many contractors would do this, so we were incredibly pleased. He also came to the house to check and fix a minor issue even after he was paid in full. "
Window Shutter Repair questions, answered by experts
Not all windows are suitable for shutters, as certain styles can prevent them from functioning correctly. It's best to avoid installing shutters on bay windows, picture windows, dormer windows, and double-mulled windows. Shutters are better suited for large, full-size standard windows or French doors.
Additionally, consider the room's lighting needs. Since shutters effectively block light, they are an excellent choice for rooms where you want more darkness and privacy, such as a master bedroom or a main living room. For window types that are not ideal for functional shutters, some homeowners choose to install fixed (non-functional) shutters to maintain a consistent look across the home.
Estate shutters offer more energy efficiency, privacy, and light control than blinds. They provide better insulation against heat and cold, lowering your energy bills. They’re also sturdy, durable, and last much longer than blinds (up to 50 years or longer). They’re also low-maintenance and can add curb appeal to your home. The return on investment (ROI) for estate shutters is around 75%.
Plantation shutters cost an average of $2,990, making them one of the pricier shutter options. However, they offer a 75% return on your investment and are great options for boosting curb appeal and property value. Most people go for plantation shutters for their timeless, vintage look. They also provide the strongest light blocking and temperature control for your home.
The average shutter is designed to last 20 to 25 years. Proper maintenance for the type of shutters you have is essential for helping them reach their full potential.
Wood is the most classic shutter material. Common options include pine, cedar, or brasswood. MDF shutters are also a more affordable option that retains the timeless, classic look. Composite shutters, mainly vinyl and aluminum shutters, have also become more popular over the years. You may also find steel shutters, sometimes referred to as security shutters, used on the exterior. Shutters also come in various colors and finishes, adding another layer of design flexibility.
