"Robert Wieland is a man of integrity, very professional and very knowledgeable. They do everything and they do it with excellence. I have hired n worked with a lot of contractors, but Robert Wieland is #1 on my list and I refuse to hire anyone else anymore, Robert will be my go to contractor. They remodeled my entire house, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, Kitchen, and laundry room. They demo, they paint, they float, they lay tiles, install lights, plugs, install light switch, install ceiling fans with lights, heater air and light for bathroom. "I have had over 30 contractors at my home as it has been basically rebuilt.  This company has been the most professional i have dealt with.  Showed up on time, communicated progress, cleaned up at the end of each day COMPLETELY, came with all necessary tools and supplies.
Along the width of the house, all of the walls were removed from the floor to aprox 2 feet.  Lower portion of studs and base plates removed, walls sealed with amazing product, studs, base plate and walls replaced (not the sheetrock).  All lower level floors sealed.
We have had over 5" of rain in the last 24 hours.  This is the first time since i have owned this house that the floors have not flooded when we have saturated soil and heavy rain.
Incredible product, excellent company.  i highly recommend both.

"First of all, they were very personable to deal with both on the phone as well as in person. Secondly, their work was done within a timely manner and with a phenomenal outcome. I truly have never been so impressed by a contractor like this before. My kitchen looks amazing! Seriously, the concern for detail was behind my expectations."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Learning how to frame a house includes picking the right lumber for the job. Most people will want to pick pine, spruce, or fir for the framing. These types of lumber are affordable and produce sturdy framing for structures. Look for kiln-dried lumber to reduce the risk of shrinkage or insect damage after installation. As part of what’s included in framing a house when you hire a professional, the contractor should order the lumber, so you don’t have to worry about finding the right lumber.

Your local building code will list all the framing requirements for whatever type of structure you're building. Most exterior walls require spacing of 16 inches on-center, while many non-load-bearing interior walls only require 24 inches of spacing. However, there are also varying requirements depending on your construction material, so checking your municipality's rules is essential.

To calculate the number of linear feet of baseboard you’ll need, measure the length of each wall of the room you’re installing them in as close to the floor as possible, rounding up to the next full linear foot. If it’s your first DIY molding job, having a few extra feet on hand for miscuts is a good idea.

In framing, studs are placed at 16-inch intervals to coincide with the typical spacing of wall materials such as drywall or plywood. This spacing is called "on-center" and is necessary for maintaining structural stability and efficient use of materials. The 16-inch spacing also helps to distribute the weight evenly across the building's structure. For those looking to cut material costs and improve energy efficiency, 24-inch stud spacing can be employed through a method called "advanced framing". This requires careful planning and adherence to local building codes to ensure structural integrity.

Duration varies by project size, but average-sized homes typically take a weeks.
