Ultimately, we were very disappointed with the experience because we were not aware of some of the major limitations of a high efficiency gas installation. There was poor planning about where the equipment would go, where outlet pipes would vent, resulting is spur of the moment decisions made that were not thoughtful. While some of these choices may have been convenient for the installers, they now present awkward equipment setups we have to live with. The staff were friendly and professional interacting with us. However, they did use furniture as saw horses and leave screws dangerously exposed in a hallway wall they constructed. We really expected a better experience and a satisfying product for $10,000. Neither the transmission nor the differential were serviced. On 10/23/14, the pipe used to connect the catalytic converter failed in the mountains in New Mexico. I had to drive for over an hour to get back to the small town I was staying in; the following morning, I had to drive for another hour to a shop in Santa Fe for repairs. What should have been a simple repair (replacing the broken pipe) was complicated because incorrect bolts had been used in the exhaust flange; bolts had to be tapped out and replaced, along with removing the broken pipe and welding a new one in place. The repair took the better part of the day, costing me a day's work and making it necessary to juggle my hotel reservations and travel plans. It was also noted that the u-joints were about to fall out of my truck - it would have been great to lose a drive-train on some mountain road....or a highway. When I returned to Texas, I contacted Bill Cabaj, Allstate owner, on 10/30/14. I explained the problem with the pipe/bolts and texted him pictures of the failed/incorrect parts and of the completed repair. I also mentioned that his shop had failed to service my transmission & differential, and that two other drive belts and the u-joints had to be replaced in Santa Fe - money that his shop could have collected had they thoroughly examined my truck as requested. I asked for a refund of the pipe repair only - $189.95. Bill stated that they subcontract exhaust work and he would have to talk to his subcontractor. I waited until 11/5/14 and did not hear from Allstate; I called and left a message for Bill - my call was not returned. On 11/10/14 I called again, left a message inquiring whether any action would be taken regarding a refund and asked for a call back. I have not been contacted. I can only conclude that my <$200.00 repair expense due to a faulty part/repair is less important to Allstate than my >$2000.00 initial repair was. VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE.
11/20/14 Bill called and we discussed; he had contacted the subcontractor and expressed concern that the converter might have been affected by the high altitude (mountains) and said he would like to take a look at it to make sure it is ok. He also stated that he would mail a check to refund my out-of-pocket repair in New Mexico. I stated that I've had no problems with the truck since the New Mexico repair and we concluded the converter is probably ok and doesn't need to be checked at this time.
On 12/1/14 I called to check the status of the reimbursement; Bill said the check would be mailed that day.
On 12/3/14 I received a check for $190.00. I appreciate the reimbursement and the concern for proper operation of the converter.

On the twentieth I had ask for an appointment after nine am due to an early doctors appointment. Well I stayed home till two pm and no one showed up so I called and was told it would be Tuesday before someone would be there. So I cancelled knowing if I wasn't called about the delay I really didn,t need that kind of service. First let me say that they were on time and waited for me as I was stuck in traffic getting home to meet the plumber. Robert was the gentleman who came out. We had a several leaks under the kitchen sink from the hose going to the garbage disposal and the pipes going from the right side sink into the disposal. We had the leaks fixed once before, but they started again a week later. Robert educated me on the proper fittings and washers needed to fix the problems. He pointed out that the other plumber did not use the washers and simply tried to glue everything together. The vibrations from the disposal running had eventually caused the glue to break loose and the pipes to vibrate out of place each time the disposal was ran. The price is unbeatable! I was expecting a bill well over $150. I was shocked that all the work he did in such a short amount of time cost under $100!!! I am highly impressed. As a landlord who has used several handymen and professionals in the past, this was by far the best experience, and I would definitely recommend them! Matter of fact I gave there information to two of my friends within an hour of the service performed as they needed plumbing services and were impressed by the amount of expertise Robert showed, how efficient he performed the service, and the amazing price! I will not use anyone else for plumbing services in the future and I look forward to future business with this company to aid in servicing my housing and rental plumbing needs! FAQs for drain pipe installation projects in Brownwood, TX
The regulations around whether drain pipe installers need to hold licenses or certifications differ based on where you live and the type of drain pipe installed. Municipalities have varying rules and regulations about who can and can’t perform plumbing work. However, we recommend hiring a certified plumber to install or modify your drain lines. Licensed plumbers will perform a high-quality, professional installation, which translates to a lower risk of clogs and leaks in the future. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to confirm the license status of your potential plumber before hiring them to install your drain pipe.
The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.
Plumbers will typically take one to two hours to install a new drain pipe, but that timeline can vary based on the area’s accessibility, the drain length, and the type of drain line. Replacing an easily accessible p-trap under a sink could take as little as a half an hour, while replacing a larger section of drain line behind the wall could take as long as three to four hours. When hiring a plumber for your specific installation, ask them to provide an estimated timeline to get a more accurate assessment.
You might need a permit to modify or repair any portion of your plumbing system, including drainage lines, depending on where you live. In some areas, simple replacements of existing drain lines don’t require a permit. We recommend asking your drain pipe installer or your local building department about permitting requirements. In many cases, only certified plumbers can pull plumbing permits, so you’ll usually need to leave the permit application to your professional. The fee for the permit will be passed to you on your project bill, though.
We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.
