"Hart Tree Service is very professional and did a fantastic job removing 8 trees from my property. They also trimmed a couple of trees and a shrub. I was extremely pleased with the work and the cleanup. They double checked with me on everything they did to ensure they were doing exactly what I wanted done. The pricing was the best I have seen in estimates and they were able to get started very quickly. I would absolutely recommend Hart Tree Service for any tree service you need."

"He came out and gave me an estimate and completed work on a days notice. I live out of State and it was very crucial that I get trees cut. They were all over grown and on the roof of storage. He cut everything and removed/ carried away all debris. Very respectful and professional. On time and quick service only 2 hours from start to finish. Price was very affordable/reasonable. I definitely recommend you use his services over all."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Yes, it’s okay to trim low branches on a tree, also known as limbing up or raising the crown. Essentially, you’ll trim the lower third of the tree (trunk) and leave the upper two-thirds of the tree (crown). Arborists recommend trimming 20% of a tree’s leaves per season for two to three seasons. Trimming low branches allows light to flow through the tree, increasing circulation and making the tree stronger and healthier.

If you aren’t sure what you’re doing, be very careful when cutting mature tree roots (roots larger than 2 inches). Root cutting and pruning can affect both a tree’s stability and its ability to nourish itself. Issues during root cutting can result in damage or injury.

It’s recommended you call in a pro to help, unless it’s a very small tree and you aren’t worried about the prospect of losing the tree.

Yes, it’s possible to overwater a newly-planted tree. Daily watering is great for the first few weeks, but it’s important not to go overboard. Excessive watering can lead to various problems, including root rot, fungal diseases, and a lack of root development.

Pruning is an effective way to prevent a diseased branch from infecting the rest of the tree. If the infection isn’t caught early enough and the pathogen has spread to the trunk or the majority of the branches though, it is too late to prune off the affected areas and you’ll likely need to remove the tree.

All of the tree root removal methods mentioned above are effective on any kind of root, whether it’s still growing or simply needs a gentle nudge to finish decomposing. The only difference is that larger roots tend to be harder to remove and may require multiple chemical treatments as well as manual labor to eradicate.
